Thank you, thank you. Although, I must admit that I'm quite a new listener to The Cure. I thought Disintegration might be a good place to start, and I'm not disappointed.

Nomeansno - "Sex is Philosophy"

"Turn it on, flip the switch,
She's not a person, she's just a bitch,
And the only joy that comes to me,
Is in the perfect execution of my cruelty.

Let me tell you what I see,
When she is stretched out naked in front of me:
I see who I am.
And I'm afraid because it's not a man."

I don't really care for this band (first listen) but I've heard worse.

Speaking of Tool, I'm trying to decide whether or not to go see them in July (I think). I've seen them before. The only reason why it's a hard decision is that I will not be with good company.

Where at? I've never seen them live and obviously you think they're good live if your only concern is your company.

I hate concerts, because they really aren't about listening to the music.
I just kind of stand there and listen to the music and everybody bothers me about it and it gets really annoying. Eventually I'm screaming "SHUT UP, I AM HAVING A GOOD TIME!" at everyone.

I'd much rather go watch an orchestra or something, because people are generally quiet and not trying to get me to dance.

EDIT: I'm not sure where, I just got a phone call yesterday that was very vague.

I would not bother you about it, but I would totally leave you alone to dance/flail by myself. I cannot hear live music without being caught up in it and dancing like a madman, this is why I like concerts.

disintegration is one of the few albums that i really, really like that i find incredibly difficult to listen to. as in, i just find it unbearably depressing, and in a bad way. it's really insidious like that - i never know what's happened, just that a few minutes ago i was enjoying a gloomy cure album, and now EVERYTHING IN THE UNIVERSE IS BAD.
i much prefer pornography - that's just sheer unadulterated wonderfulness.

now playing: december songs (katatonia tribute). so much black doom, it's like joy made into flesh and set on fire :D

Okay, I'll give you that. One Hundred Years, The Figurehead, and The Hanging Garden are a few of my favorite songs. :)

Cruxshadows - "Cruelty"

"To hunger is noble, where beauty is silent sleep,
My hunger is noble, but my pain is driven deep.

Cruelty and consequence cannot eliminate this relevance
Your selfishness, your hatefulness cannot take away my immanence
Cruelty and consequence cannot eliminate this relevance
Your selfishness, your hatefulness cannot take away my innocence from me"

Followed by:

Mindless Self Indulgence - "Big Poppa (Covered from Notorious B.I.G.)"

Brain radio is a terrible thing, sometimes. Things get stuck on repeat.
Today's special:

Combichrist - "Intruder Alert"

which goes a little something like this:

"Intruder alert Intruder alert Intruder alert Intruder alert
Intruder alert Intruder alert Intruder alert Intruder alert
Intruder alert Intruder alert Intruder alert Intruder alert
Intruder alert Intruder alert Intruder alert Intruder alert
Intruder alert Intruder alert Intruder alert Intruder alert
Intruder alert Intruder alert Intruder alert Intruder alert"

And about two lines of actual lyrics:

"now it's time for me to make some room, this is not for the fans,
I only came to make some noise, I only came to dance"

Repeat "Intruder Alert" ad nauseum.
Turn your scars into stars.
