Tori Amos - Bouncing Off Clouds

My favourite song from the new album, the music is just perfect with the song. 2:37 in, when it's just the piano and that beat in the background, Tori starts singing, drums kick in, follow the beat. Fucking fantastic.

Morphine - The Night

"you're the night, Lilah
a little girl lost in the woods
you're a folktale
the unexplainable
you're a bedtime story
the one that keeps the curtains closed
I hope you're waiting for me
cause I can't make it on my own
I can't make it on my own"

Draco and the Malfoys - In Which I Kick Harry Potter in the Face

I'm going to kick you in the face
I might do it twenty-seven times just in case
I know nothing could ever replace
The picture in my mind of your kicked-in face
You've just lost twenty dollars and my self respect.

Javier Navarrete -Mercedes Lullaby from the Pan's Labyrinth soundtrack.

I don't usually listen to soundtracks, but this one is really, really good.
I sing anyway.

Billy Joel - Angry Young Man

Theres a place in the world for the angry young man
With his working class ties and his radical plans
He refuses to bend, he refuses to crawl,
Hes always at home with his back to the wall.
And hes proud of his scars and the battles hes lost,
And he struggles and bleeds as he hangs on the cross-
And he likes to be known as the angry young man.

Fuckin' love this song.
It also makes me wish I still played piano well.

Man, Poison the Well is from my angsty teenage years. (Yeah, I know what you're all thinking, don't say it.) This is what I loved. I'm not sure why, but I did. Hell, I still love it. XD

"Étienne d'Août" by Malajube.

Mais s'il te plaît
ferme la porte derrière toi
et quand tu reviendras,
je serai près de toi

So...lovely. The music video is about vikings, and sorrow they feel after one dies. It's striking too.

Currently on: The Fall of the House of Usher: Part 4

So, not right now, but earlier I was listening to Project 86 and it made me all nostalgic regarding seventh grade through freshman year. :)

And then I got home and talked to Rachel about previous emo-ness. Which was about the same time. XD

Apparently tonight is a night for nostalgia.
