Iris - "Lose in Wanting"

In one flesh
I am returned again
It's just something you can't see
The single thing
I fear the most within
Gathers slowly up inside me
Ready to take me

I can feel it burning up inside my head
When I lose in wanting everything I said
Who will there be waiting
As this silence followed
Leads me to its end

Imperative Reaction - "Severed"

You will give up
You always do
And time won't let you follow through
Your weakness has shown
And now you're everthing they've thrown at you
You knew the tide was coming
You cast yourself adrift
You burned your empty words
And fucked it up again
Now the colours drain like blood
Down the canvas you abandoned
And shadows hide the words
You replace with excuses
But excuses lose their weight
When you're forced into a corner
And the one you once believed in
Has left you there alone

@Phenriz: :) I haven't listened to Busta Rhymes in forever. Need to get on that when my internet's not being an ass.

Gym Class Heroes - Shoot Down The Stars

This is what you wanted right?
How many nights were spent pouring out your guts, dummy?
How many punishments endured for fucking up in school?
How many teachers proved wrong by writing songs instead?
My point exactly
But you knew you had a spark, did you?
Something producin' to the dreams your pop's dreams lent you
Stay focused when nothing seemed to make sense
Stealing verses with that Cassius Clay confidence
Sometimes you stubborn as shit, that's the McCoy in you
You learn to be a man without losing the boy in you
Just do your thing man

So take a step back
And a breath in
Let it out now
Put your chin up
You can do it tiger
You a man now
And in your dream it's time to do the best you can now

We bring ourselves down
And build ourselves up in disappointment
How fragile we are
So fragile we are, we just don't show it
We'll shake up this town
And shoot down the stars for our enjoyment
So sexy we are
So sexy we are, we just don't know it

Alphaville - Forever Young

That's right, I admit it. I love it. :)

Edit:

Now I'm listening to a crapload of songs from Animaniacs. :) Letting my iTunes play alphabetically is hilarious and awesome.

So far tonight: AFI, Aaliyah, Abandon Ship, ABBA, The Academy Is..., Adam Ant, Against Me!, Alanis Morissette, Alice in Chains, Amanda Kravat, Ambulance Ltd, Amelia, America, The American Analog Set, Andrew Bird, Angles and Airwaves, and Animaniacs.

Now taking it back up to A-ha cuz I missed them the first time around.

You know what I really like about Coheed and Cambria? The fact that they (and by "they" I mean Claudio Sanchez) aren't afraid to put 9 or 10 syllables in the word "pioneers".

Coheed & Cambria - In Keep Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 (title song)

For you, I'd do anything
Just to make you happy,
Hear you tell me that you’re proud of me
For them, I'll kill anything
Cut the throats of babies for them
Break their hearts for they were them
Waiting for you to say:
I. Love. You. Too.

Edited 2 hours later...

Elliott Smith - Angeles

Only one of the best songs in the history of everything. It feels like nothing else.

Someone's always coming around here
Trailing some new kill
Says I seen your picture
On a hundred dollar bill
And what's a game of chance to you
To him is one
Of real skill
So glad to meet you
Angeles

Picking up the ticket shows there's money to be made
Go on and lose the gamble that's the history of the trade
Did you add up all the cards left to play...to zero
And sign up with evil
Angeles

Don't start me trying now
U-huh u-huh u-huh
Cos I'm all over it
Angeles

I could make you satisfied in everything you do
All your 'secret wishes' could right now be coming true
And be forever with my poison arms around you
No one's gonna fool around with us
No one's gonna fool around with us
So glad to meet you
Angeles
