Primus!

Any fans out there?

I saw Les in eugene, OR a year back playing with the electric apricot project, good drummer as well as bassist imo.

Yay Primus! I haven't been able to see them live, but keep hoping they'll come to me.

Primus sucks ;) Actually, a friend and I like to get a good "Primus sucks!" chant going at non-Primus concerts. One time a guy got offended, "No, dude, Primus are awesome." It's cute.
I was actually just listening to Rhinoplasty earlier. Am I the only one who likes that version of "Too Many Puppies" better than the Frizzle Fry version?
I have nothing to offer anybody except my own confusion.

why does it seem like everything cool in music is happening in the northwest?

edit: i guess here in the northeast we have NYC, which has some cool stuff happening, but really everything is in the northwest.

edit edit: primus is awesome. i approve of this thread.

I probably like Primus too much. It annoys me that they're playing one show this year...in Michigan. Also, Les' current tour, with Secret Chiefs 3, isn't hitting the Northeast.

Man, Pork Soda has such a distinct vibe amongst Primus records. I was watching the "Mr. Krinkle" video, and that about summed it up. All this craziness happening in an abandoned warehouse. And...Les in a pig mask? Maybe.

I love Primus. Unfortunately the albums I own are currently on my list of "music I must not listen to anymore for a while or else I'll make myself sick of it and then I'd have to shoot myself"

Is there anyone currently around who comes close to rivaling the pure awesomeness that is Les Claypool?
