Half of those songs are nothing to be ashamed of. :P

Let's see (Note: These aren't necessarily songs that I would be "ashamed" of, just songs that seem to fit in your definition of Poptastic):

Anything by Angels & Airwaves
Anything by The Barenaked Ladies
The Bravery - Honest Mistake
Clay Aiken - O Holy Night
Daddy Yankee - La Gasolina
Fall Out Boy - Grand Theft Autumn
The Fray - How To Save a Life
Gnarls Barkley - Crazy
Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc.
Hot Hot Heat - Middle of Nowhere
Jack Johnson - Sitting, Waiting, Wishing
John Mayer - Waiting on the World to Change
Kanye West - Diamonds from Sierra Leone
The Killers - When You Were Young
Lifehouse - Hanging By a Moment
Linkin Park - In The End
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabama
Maroon 5 - This Love
Michael Jackson - $Number_One_Hit
No Doubt - Hey Baby
Outkast - Hey Ya!
Right Said Fred - I'm Too Sexy For My Shirt
Snow Patrol - Hands Open
Theory of a Deadman - Santa Monica

That's good for now.
Axman: That, and have you played DX 10 games? It's like having your corneas swabbed with clits made out of morphine.

God, YES.

There's this friend of mine (male, unfortunately) that has to be physically restrained when either that song or Iggy Pop's Lust for Life start playing wherever he happens to be hanging out.

Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes) - Edison Lighthouse
Pretty much all ABBA songs. I say pretty much because I lack omnipotent knowledge of ABBA, and someone might come in and get me.
Take on Me - A-Ha
All Aqua songs, ever.
Dota by Basshunter certainly seems to be popular, even if it is "Electrodance" rather than pop.
Come on Eileen - Dexy's Midnight Runners
Blue and You Spin Me Round by Eiffel 65
Believe It Or Not - Joey Scarbury, I think.
Most songs by Oasis. They have the same chord progressions anyways.
Dragosta Din Tea - O-Zone
Too lazy to think of more

Just a quick glance at mu music library, and NONE of my songs were on your (admittedly fine) list:

Fuel - Bittersweet/Shimmer
Jesus Jones - Right Here, Right Now
Letters to Cleo - Here & Now
Soho - Hippychick
Sublime - Doin' Time
Sundays - Here's Where the Story Ends
Tesla - Love Song
Tripping Daisy - Piranha
Waitresses - I Know What Boys Like
Blondie - Rapture/Atomic
Charlatans UK - Weirdo
My goal in life is to have money, power, fame, wisdom, and love.
So far, I've got a sense of humor.
It's a good start.

Updated as far as this post, with some funky YouChoob links for those with a mild strain of Partyhardosis.

I'll probably add some more until this becomes a veritable hub of cheesetastic videos.

I think I have the most knighthoods per effort invested. *Pop-dances*
So this isn't a complete waste, I'm gonna suggest

Teenage Dirtbag - Wheatus
Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go - Wham!
Murder on the Dancefloor - Sophie Ellis-Bextor
Jump (For My Love) - Pointer Sisters
and
Dreamer - Supertramp

I am endeavouring to become a Pop God.

The xkcd community frowns 'pon your double posting and blantant bumpage. Problem solved. Use report button. - ST

Now that means I actually have to make a point somewhere within this post. Um, updated the Poptastic charts. All of these songs would make the very top of the pippity-pops. I added a few muzak videos. (heh, if you add Moo and Z.A.K.'s name together, you do indeed get moozak.)

I have swooped upon your hypothesis and added my name back on to the thread's title. Just so's when people who are unfamiliar to this thread see the title and think 'hmm, '"Felstaff"? - I've got a beef with that jerk! I'm going to give him a piece of my --ooh! Walk Like an Egyptian!'

I recommend you go watch Enya's Orinoco Flow video. [schwartzenegger accent]Do it.[/accent]. That Celtic goddess! It's so good, I'm going to have to put this very information in the "I'd Loop That" thread. I've also gone on some kind of Michael Jackson YouTube binge. Is there any better Michael Jackson songs that Dirty Diana, Speed Demon, Man in the Mirror and Give in to Me? Computer says no.

Also, Baker Street. Buy a saxophone. Learn the riff. Then spend the rest of your life fending off members of the opposite sex who are trying to have sex with you.

Now come on Cheesemeisters, add some more friggin' poptastic songs! Ones that would be proudly highlighted in green!
Away, you scullion! you rampallion! You fustilarian! I'll tickle your catastrophe.

Huzzah! Someone else that thinks Give In to Me is one of MJs best!

Anyway, this is awesome. If no-one's mentioned Soft Cell's Tainted Love yet, it should be thrown in. As should Echo and the Bunnymen's Killing Moon.

80s pop-rock cheese. I live for it. Don't tell the people who thought I was cool.

I apologise for blatant bumpage, but it was so very long since I had last posted and I thought The Felstaff Hypothesis (That the chance of people reading a thread is directly proportional to the amount of Felstaff references in the title [Yes, this means it can go above 100%]) may change things.

I both deeply and humbly apologise for my flagrant breach of practice.

I thus submit Born To Be Alive - Patrick Hernandez, as penance. I furthermore propose Mickey - Toni Basil is added to the list.

Here's some for now, but more will be added when I'm actually on my computer.

Bob Marley - No Woman, No Cry
Toploader - Dancing in the Moonlight
Guns 'n' Roses - Sweet Child Of Mine
Queen - Don't Stop Me Now
The Foundations - Build Me Up Buttercup
Micheal Jackson - Billie Jean

5ive - If Ya Gettin' Down
Backstreet Boys - Backstreet's Back
Haddaway - What Is Love
Afroman (?) - Because I Got High
Whoever sang Who Let The Dogs Out
Robbie Williams - Angels
Ronan Keating - When You Say Nothin' At All
Boyzone - Love Me For A Reason

... Okay, I only like one of these songs, but these are all terribly poptastic and when they're played on the radio, hilarity ensues.

Whatever happens, however awful some of these songs go, I think we should form a coalition now to make sure that Agadoo doesn't wind up on that list. It's the exact opposite of "poptastic"

You are aware you now have to tell us which one it is.

Also, SexyBack - Justin Timberlake. The wiki article is hilarious in its clinical observations. "A sexual motion is shown."

If you're going to have a pop song by Blur, it's gotta be either Parklife, Girls And Boys or Country House.

The more the merrier - the presence of one song from an artist does not preclude another song by them.

House of Pain - Jump Around
Notorious BIG - Big Poppa
Black Eyed Peas - Most of their songs
Blues Traveler - Run-Around

Anything on iPod commercials, inlcuding but not limited to:
Yael Naim - New Soul
Brendan Benson - What I'm Looking For It's a fan video, but it's the best quality out there when there's no official one to be found.

Frank Sinatra - Fly Me to the Moon
Incubus - Drive
Nine Days - Absolutely (Story of a Girl) - I used to be somewhat in love with this song when it came out for the first time... Horrible video quality
Chumbawumba - Tubthumping

For pop from Hawaii - if you've ever spent time listening to a Hawaiian music radio station, this song is on it all the time and is great and never stops... Kalapana - What Do I Do

How about....

Africa by Toto
Snow on the Saraha - Anggun
Love Song - Sara Bareilles
Something or other by Colbie Caillait
and maybe Heat Of The Moment - Asia

Old School!

Be My Baby - The Ronnettes
Unchained Melody - The Righteous Brothers. :D

The simple reason you hadn't already sexed up the people reading the list: You left out Gett Off by Prince.

Just whack that one on there, and no one can come within a good three hyperlinks of this page without finding themselves mysteriously sexed up. I think you owe it's inclusion to all forumites, especially those for whom it might have been a while since they were last sexed up :)
