Mooooood music

It's only cool if no one's heard of it.

Mooooood music

What song fits your mood right now? You don't need to be listening to it, and it needn't be deep or symbolic. Mine, for example, is "Sloop John B" by the Beach Boys. 'Cause it's nearly 5:00 Friday and damn, I wanna go home.

"Happy Things" by Flowers From the Man Who Shot Your Cousin. It's pretty perfectly describing the way I feel right now.

I've just finished a 9-hour shift working at the bakery, it's hot as hell in Melbourne right now, and I just want to listen to "Goodnight Irene" by Tom Waits for the next 4 hours until I fall asleep...

Atlas Sound's Quarantined. I feel all lethargic and sick. Not much to do today.

Joshua Radin's You Got Growing Up To Do with Patty Griffin. Just got the album with it on and the song is absolutely GORGEOUS.

Iceblink Luck, by Cocteau Twins, is one song that quite faithfully reproduces my mood when I feel happy, i.e. beside the one I love. It's light, airy, jumpy, tricky and quirky.

mewithoutYou- "The Cure for Pain"

Especially this part:

I opened like a locket,
"If you're ever cold," I wrote,
"there's warmth inside me.
I'm the pocket of an old winter coat."
But where she used to say "I need you."
Now...."I don't."
