Last album you got?

It's only cool if no one's heard of it.

I bought Milk-Eyed Mender by Joanna Newsom, and got Quietly by Mouth of the Architect and Dolores by Bohren & Der Club of Gore in the mail the same day. No ratings for any yet, but Milk-Eyed Mender is better than Ys, and Quietly isn't as good as The Ties That Blind.

Professor Satchifunkilus and the Musterion of Rock; by Joe Satriani

I give it a solid 8/10, nothing super-amazing but definitely worth a permanent spot on my iPod.
My favorite song on it is Andalusia, followed by Musterion, then probably Come on Baby

I think it would be Die Kunst Der Fuge by JS Bach played by the Amsterdam Loeki Stardust Quartet. They play it on recorders, it's really nice.

The Spine - They Might Be Giants

I don't buy many albums. Hell, I didn't buy that one. It was a gift.

I'd give it a 9/10. It's not Earth-shattering, but it's really good.

I just bought and listened through Insurgentes by Steven Wilson. It was one of those "what crap have I been listening to before this?" experiences, followed swiftly by a moment of "what crap has he been making before this?"

I give it a 9/10, only because I want to see him outdo himself for the next one.

I recently bought and listened to of Montreal's Icons, Abstract Thee. I don't like ratings, but it's at least as much of a masterpiece as Hissing Fauna.

I also bought Bwyd Time by Gorky's Zygotic Mynci on eBay, but it hasn't arrived yet. That album was bitch to get my hands on.

Modest Mouse - Good News For People Who Love Bad News (3/5, s'good, but there are a few songs that kinda kill my enjoyment of it)
Modest Mouse - We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank (5/5, probably one of my favorite albums ever. There is one song that I do not like, but the rest far outweigh it)

Bought them both at once, so... meh

If I recall correctly, which I probably do, the last album I bought was Danse Macabre by The Faint. Before that it was "Monkeys for nothing and the chimps for free" by Reel Big Fish. And I would highly recommend both of them to anyone.

I think the last album I got was 'Perfect Symmetry' by Keane.

I'd rate as 8.5/10. I'm a huge fan of Keane and this album lived up to expectations for me.

I just bought Current 93's The Inmost Light, which is a compilation of two EPs, Where The Long Shadows Fall and The Stars Are Marching Sadly Home, and the full-length album All The Pretty Little Horses. It don't know how I can possibly describe Current 93, except that it's beautiful and incredibly bizarre.

I also bought Sonic Youth's Dirty and Bardo Pond's Lapsed. I haven't listened to either yet.
