Favorite Song

It's only cool if no one's heard of it.

A relevant Necro ...

Ever since the first time I heard Pearl Jam's "Black", I can't hear the song without stopping what I'm doing (except maybe driving), closing my eyes, and just listening. The emotion in Eddie Vedder's voice is very primal. "Nutshell" by Alice In Chains is also in my top-5, so ... right on. To round it out, at the moment, I'd say "Say Hello To Heaven" by Temple of the Dog, "Norwegian Wood" by the Beatles, and "Not To Touch the Earth" by the Doors.

Probably "She Sells Sanctuary" by the Cult. "Rated PG for Patriotic Garbage."

We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun, But the wine and the song, like the seasons have all gone....

Goodbye Michelle, it's hard to die, When all the birds are singing in the sky, Now that the spring is in the air, With the flowers everywhere, I wish that we could both be there...

The most beautiful song I have ever listened to till date - Seasons in the Sun, by Westlife.

My favorite song would have to be "Imagine" by John Lennon. It was the song that made me want to be a songwriter. It says everything that I feel and believe

I love "Imagine". It's simple and beautiful. It had a huge influence on my desire to be a songwriter, too.

I tried very hard to put it into the top 5, but it just doesn't belong there.
