So? Just curious. Last week I went to see Metric in Amsterdam and in two weeks Fight Like Apes is playing in my town, I got tickets to see that as well.

Ooh, I saw Metric last night on a date on their UK tour. It was pretty good fun and Emily Haines did a good job getting the audience dancing.

My next gig? Probably Hudson Mohawke again, Yuksek or Deerhunter.

Saw The One-Ups, The Minibosses, Animanaguchi, and Darkest of the Hillside Thickets at PAX last September (missed the rest of the concerts).

May be going to see Abney Park and a couple others in concert at the Seattle Steampunk Soirée later this month.

I went to an Abney Park gig in London when they came to England a few weeks back. If you haven't seen them before, they're great live. And Nathaniel shook my hand and spoke to me which was pretty cool. The club below where the gig was was scary as hell though, I thought i'd go down their but first walked past a lady in a skin-tight red leather devil costume, and thought "okay...", then nearly walked into a massive bald guy wearing a string vest, leather boots and a leather mini skirt. Not really my sort of club so I got my coat and left. Quickly.
Sadly I haven't gone to any more concerts planned as exams are coming up. Hopefully something will come up over the summer though.

My last concert was three weeks ago when I went to see the sixty-year old blues musician Watermelon Slim. I was blown away, as his live performances are so much more lively and intense and thrilling than his studio albums (which are good too, mind you). Sixty years old and he's running around the stage, falling down on his knees and giving kickass harmonica and guitar solos. Crazy as hell. Definitely in my Top 10 concerts ever; maybe even Top 5.

The next concert I'm going to is one day of a blues festival. The guy I'm especially going for is - in my humble opinion - the Eric Clapton of this generation: Joe Bonamassa. There'll be a couple of other guys as well, like the legendary Steve Winwood. The others are Eli Paperboy Reed & The True Loves, Rod Piazza & The Mighty Flyers, Hokie Joint, The Shiner Twins and Dave Arcari. It's gonna be awesome!

Also two weeks after that, I'm seeing Ry Cooder and Nick Lowe in a cozy little hall.

Last one: Some Christian Rock(ish) concert on New Year's Eve. Went more just to see some friends than for the music, but it wasn't terrible. Before that it was mostly little things, jazz/blues festivals over the summer, free concerts with bands no one has heard of, that kind of stuff.

Next: Either Warped Tour or Progressive Nation 2009, depending on final tour dates/locations for Progressive Nation and whether either coincide with days I'll have free. I'm planning on seeing both at some point though.

Last concert I went to was the Orion Quartet playing three Beethoven string quartets at the Kings Place. They were really damn good, actually. I should go see quartets more often.

The next concert will, I expect, be Muse when they do their autumn tour. I don't have anything planned for the summer (yet).

I'm not sure if I can count the one that I held with mostly locals can I...I played with one of the bands as vocalist.

Last: Back in Feb. I saw Streetlight Manifesto, Wilhelm Scream, and The Stitch Up. It was by far one of the greatest shows I have ever been to. Ever. I have also been to some local shows here and there since then but nothing too special.

Next: I am hoping to see Rise Against, Rancid, and Billy Talent (mostly for these guys) in July.

Thanks. We don't get much in Brisbane (Unless you count the onslaught of Pink concerts, seriously like seven shows in as many days.), but what comes our way is usually pretty good.

Saw Vienna Teng about a month ago. She is amazing and awesome.

Not sure about my next one. At the very least, I'm sure I'll see multiple bands when I go to Dragon*Con later this summer. So far Voltaire and Cruxshadows are both on the list again. I would love to see Abney Park come back. Last year's show was excellent.
