They've got a completely new show this year. It's based off The Lost Christmas Eve instead of their usual Christmas Eve and Other Stories

I saw them do Beethoven's Last Night, with a bit of the stuff from Night Castle, so it was totally different anyway.

Last: Nightwish (Oh me yarm SO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOODD)
Next: Probably POD, Three Days Grace and Shinedown. I've seen Three Days Grace before, and it was a lot of fun. Never the other two though.

Nightwish keeps being mentioned on here, I should probably take a look at them even though I usually don’t listen to metal that much.

Three Days Grace, crap. I haven't heard that name in ages. I saw them back in 2003-2004, something around that, they were playing with Thrice. I think Darkest hour was there as well. Great show.

EDIT: Just kidding, went to a surprise concert tonight, Rufus Wainwright. I'm not a huge fan, but it was a good show and he's a great performer.

I'm seriously considering seeing Maiden and Megadeth in Vegas, but it's right after PAX Prime so I don't know if I'll have the energy for it.

Just saw Anberlin in concert. They did an acoustic set at the Hard Rock Cafe here in Vegas.

I think my next concert might be Ellie Goulding next month.

Last one was last friday, The Who in Amsterdam. Good spot, 3rd row center, and a great show. However, there were people around us who wanted to sit down for the show, were telling us in a rather aggressive way, and security seemed to be taking their side. Spent about half of the show worrying the drunk/stoned real-estate agent behind me would start throwing punches (he did at one point start shoving my friend who was standing next to me). About halfway through the show, during the 5:15 bass solo, Pete Townshend told us to "stand the f*ck up", so us die-hard fans obliged.

Lat week: Abstinence, Neptune, Controlled Bleeding. Kind of weird lineup, but it was good.

I don't know what my next show is, but the next important show is Melt-Banana Nov 2nd.

My last one was Serj Tankian and his orchestra, it was really impressive! It was so weird to listen to his new songs outside SOAD, especially this one. My next gig is going to be POD, I'm so excited! I was listening to them since I was a kid and I just can't wait.

Yeah, the Standard is a venue here. What's your friends' band name?

I actually ended up not seeing Neutral Milk Hotel. They were playing the night before an exam, and I figured I should probably have an early night. But I ended up studying until one AM, so that plan fell through.

So my last concert is still Japandroids. Next is the National in January.

Last concert: Tool in Peoria, IL in 2007

Cost me a little over $1k since I had to fly from Alaska to Nashville and road trip with friends. It was either that or go to see Pearl Jam in Katowice, Poland for about the same price; fan club tickets, too. *shrug* Stupid friends, and their peer pressure. Either way, Tool was awesome, but the crowd was absolutely the worst crowd I've ever seen at a show.

Next concert: I can only wonder. No one decent comes to Alaska, and I'm paying off a wedding and have a baby on the way, so I'm not likely to be able to justify a trip to Seattle in the near future either, unless ... now that I think of it, my grandmother deserves to see her great-grand son.

Next show: Probably Epica in 013, but if all else fails I am definitely going to MFVF2014. Or maybe the blueray of Retrospect by Epica, if that counts.
