Your last and next concert?

It's only cool if no one's heard of it.

Last Big Day out 2009 -Prodigy, Pendulum, Ting Tings, and Serj Tankian to name a few (Nz usually gets its international acts in one day with a few tours placed sparingly throughout the year)
Next My favorite local bands only tour clubs and pubs (even when they're big) so the next concert for me is Big Day Out 2010

Last, not counting cover bands, was The Who in Hamilton, ON... That was back in October. Next up, if all goes well, Roger Daltrey solo (oh the things I do to support that man) next October, trying to catch at least one of his California shows.

I my last show was a Invisible Children benifit in which a lots of local bands played (including my friend's band plus a band my friends are friends with called Novelle). Novelle was the best band that played. They have an EP (their first record) in the making which has been delayed for stupid unknown reasons to me. I recomend Novelle to all fans of The Fall of Troy but they don't have a vocalist. They are on Facebook and MySpace. Before that I saw The Killers in September and it was amazing.

My next show? I have no idea what the next show I go to will be. I have planned to some day try and go see Thursday on their annual New Year's Eve show some year in the future. After seeing all the live footage from a New Year's Eve show on the DVD for Kill the Lights, it looks like lots of fun. However I live in California and the show is a local New Jersey show (the band is from New Jersey) so that poses a problem.

The last concert I went to was the Silversun Pickups. I don't have a next show lined up yet, don't know when I will have another opportunity (nobody comes around here, I have to take days (emphasis on plural) off from my jobs to go see anyone live), so I'll give the previous band I saw in concert...Toad the Wet Sprocket. Yes, that was 2009, not 1996, as a part of their 5th (or 8th, I'm not sure) Annual Breakup & Reunion Tour, as Glen Phillips put it.

Last was Muse at the O2 Arena in November (the Thursday gig). Was a pretty awesome gig, but I was too tired to completely appreciate how amazing it was, I think (got about 3 hours sleep the night before), plus it would've been marginally better to have been at the Friday show, because the setlist was slightly better (Cave and MK Ultra instead of Unintended and Feeling Good). But still, a great gig. Undecided on whether I'll go to see them at Wembley Stadium this year.

I'm seeing Lostprophets at the O2 Academy Brixton next month. Then Flyleaf in April at the O2 Academy Islington. For some reason O2 owns the naming rights to all the music venues I'm seeing bands at.

My last concert was The Living End a few months ago. It was ok, but being seated in not one of my favourite venues sucked.

Next concert: Porcupine Tree in Feb. I am so looking forward to this one!

My last concert was an Opeth concert where I learned standing <5m from the front is difficult. (due to all the jumping people, as opposed to it being difficult to even get there). Awesome show, but after the first 3 songs me and my friend moved back a bit.

Just saw an acoustic Asobi Seksu show. Not nearly as good as they are normally, but it wasn't a bad show either. Except the opening band, Lady Danville, which was basically a combination of everything I hate in modern music. They were trying way too hard to go for the cute and goofy indie appeal (the haircuts, the ties, the facial hair, everything), they came across as frat boys who wanted to get laid by acting sensitive and funny. Their songs were mostly an unholy cross between Jason Mraz and Vampire Weekend, or else rip-offs of Death Cab For Cutie and the Shins, with terribly awkward transitions or choruses that just went on and on and on. And the crowd was eating it up. By the time Asobi Seksu came on, there was a drunk girl dancing next to me, a drunk couple sucking face in front of me, and a bunch of people talking loudly and paying no attention to the band. I guess that's what you get for a free show in one of the only places on campus that sells alcohol, but still. Worst crowd ever.

With supports, 'Big D and the Kids Table' and Sonic Boom Six. :D
I'm seeing them in Newcastle on the 24th. Reel Big Fish and Sonic Boom Six I have each seen twice before. Together in '08 in Newcastle, then RBF in Newcastle again in '09 and SB6 at Leeds Fest '09. Speaking of which:

Last:
Leeds Festival 2009; three days of awesome closing with a day that began and ended with two favourite bands of mine - Sonic Boom Six and Kings of Leon.

Next:
Reel Big Fish supported by Sonic Boom Six in Newcastle on the 24th of January! I only mention SB6 so enthusiastically because I love them in equal measure to Reel Big Fish. It's going to be an amazing night.

Last was Flyleaf at the Islington Academy, which was an absolutely amazing gig - one of the best I've ever been to. They got the sound mix right, which I'd been worried about (apparently it was way off for most of the tour), played a great set, and the support band (The Crave) was awesome too.

Next I've got booked right now is MGMT at Brixton Academy in September, but I'll almost certainly go to other stuff before then, even if it's only local indie gigs.
