RIP Gil Scott-Heron

It's only cool if no one's heard of it.

RIP Gil Scott-Heron

Postby Dream » Sat May 28, 2011 1:08 pm UTC

Gil Scott-Heron died yesterday, aged 62. It's doubly sad to see him go now because he'd recently released a new studio album, and had seemingly found a a little of the stability that eluded him for much of his life.
I knew a woman once, but she died soon after.

Yeah, I thought the same thing about the studio album. Things seemed to be going right and he was colloborating with lots of interesting people.

Anyway, very sad news indeed.
i dare you to take me on...

It always makes me sad when I don't hear of a great artist until I read their obituary. Maybe we should make more effort to celebrate people's talents while they're still alive.
