Share your earworm

It's only cool if no one's heard of it.

Share your earworm

Postby roband » Wed Sep 19, 2012 1:35 pm UTC

I currently can't stop singing the song from the Diet Coke advert, where the female office-workers fawn over a (sometimes shirtless) manual labourer of some kind.

It may be related to the Diet Coke I'm drinking, but I also quite like the song anyway.

What's your earworm?

Peter Sarstedt's 1969 hit 'Where do you go Oh my lovely?" has been in my brain for the better part of a week.

It was a mega hit in the UK back then, and I was living there. I had a thought about it, and checked it out on YouTube; I don't think I'd heard it for 30 years.

Still a superb song, though the contemporary jet-set references are now dated.

Two songs.
One is Norwegian and I only barely know the meaning (Far til Datter - Kaisers Orchestra)
The other is State of Mind - Gene Freeze. Mostly because that's what rowdy as fuck dubstep is designed to do.

I've had the most random song stuck in my head for the past several years Seriously! I find myself singing it almost every day! It's quite ridiculous. I haven't heard the song in a while, and all I know is the first few lines of the chorus.

Not sure what the best video is since I can't go on youtube at work, but this one looks promising judging from the google results:

Lifehouse - Storm

I've had Gloomy Sunday in my head for a couple days, so, yeah, my mental state is great.

The alarm sound on my mobile phone that wakes me every morning somehow triggers Graham Coxon's "All over me" in my head. It's an effort to not think about it (or even sing it) when I'm in the shower. I should change the chime sound, but it's good because it wakes me up.

Lately my earworms have been Spike Jones-related, primarily The Jones Polka.

In recent months my earworms have included Led Zeppelin's Going to California and Melanie Safka's Brand New Key.

Roband, please, I know you're in there
People are asking how you've been
They say have lyrics, and I'm giving you,
they're right here for you, just let it in
We only have this soundtrack, it's just you and it
What are we going to sing?

Do you wanna sing from Frozen?
:)

How about I bloody kill you?
This song gets in my head for days..
I hate it so, it can't be faced
until it's replaced
By the next craze.
I heard great things about it
But now I don't
I think I know just why...
