Anyone know where the author got this idea and where to find more of it?
Other places I've found it in are Discworld and SMBC.

gettin' away from books, but Rebecca Sugar's short animation Singles has a cool, eerie example. (I was going to post a link, but I can't tell if any of the links are the original, or stable, and google pulls it up pretty well)

I remember some experimental short fiction, that had self referential sentences that also described the full piece. It didn't make enough of an impression on me that I remember it well enough to look it up again, and I think it could be done better, especially now that people can hit crtl-f and replace words.

Here's a 14 minute youtube video about a song that I did remember well enough to look up again.

Would you count things that have their titles as thing inside of them?
I mean,
The King in Yellow is a book that has stories about a book called The King in Yellow.
Although, it's not the same book, it's at least a sort of meta.

okay, one more
Animal Crossing New Leaf recently added minigames in the form of furniture items based on nintendo consoles
So now I can ignore my friends playing a DS game where I ignore my friends playing a DS game.
