The Mafia has abducted 22 ordinary people. They are holding them in a room from which they cannot escape. They each get 1M$ .They wait for 12 hours. Then they were announced that they were forced to play the minority game. Each round lasts 1 hour and only 1 Y/N question can be asked in each round. You cannot know who voted what. The votes are counted and if the majority says "Yes" than those who said "Yes" are killed, likewise if the majority said "No".The minority always advances to the next round. The winner gets 8M$ and if there are 2 winners they share the money.
You must find a strategy to win no matter what the questions are.

Re: Situational Logic Puzzle
Cooperate with the other people in order to get a tie. They have no reason to go back on their word(if you can communicate)
Unless I am exceptional in some way in this puzzle I cannot force a win unless everyone can win.
Who decides the questions and do the answers have to be truthful?

Re: Situational Logic Puzzle
There are some parts of this puzzle that are unclear. I mean, why does everyone get $1M right off the bat? In the source material for this game it made sense, but if players actually die when they are in the majority, it doesn't make sense any longer. Plus, the "solution" from the source material doesn't work if players actually die. In order for it to work, you have to be able to lose without actually being harmed. That "solution" is below:
That being said, people might agree to this plan simply because it increases their odds of winning. If so, the plan below, also from the source material, is possible:
However, that plan is very risky. If anybody discovers and/or reveals that plan, it will break down - I mean, that's what happened in the source material, and that wasn't life-or-death! Imagine how much more urgent it would be if a player discovers that following the plan will lead to their certain death!

If the puzzle is true to the source material, then it doesn't matter who decides the questions because no one has to answer them truthfully.
