Assorted Computer Parts

Postby obaby » Thu Aug 21, 2008 10:58 pm UTC

Hi everybody, I am trying to sell used computers for my company, and I needed some help in doing this.

I took all the computers apart and decided to try and sell the parts in a box, with monitor, keyboard, etc. I haven't had many bites, and I've had the ads posted on Ebay and craigslist for awhile now. I was hoping some of you had a better auction site for computer parts, particularly used computer parts.

Also, if anybody is interested in what I have please PM me. I don't want to clutter the forums.

It would help to have some more details on the age of the computers/parts that you're trying to sell. Don't let this turn into a for sale thread, but fill us in a bit more.

Craigslist is the first place I start when I have something to sell, but your success always depends on how active your CL is. Since CL is non-binding, it's wildly frustrating sometimes. Ebay is usually number 2 on my list, since the effort of shipping and paypal can be a hassle. Be descriptive with your listings and don't get too ambitious with your price. Expect to sell used parts for cheap, unless they are relatively current.

I've always found that the used computer market changes like the day of the week. Sometimes it cannot be avoided. Good luck.
