I got some cute little paper bundt pans with the idea that I would make my Secret Santee at work a little bundt, but the more I think about it, the more confused I am. Do I turn it out, or leave it in the pan? Leaving it in the pan is optimal for transportation and cuteness, but then I can't glaze it or dust with powdered sugar?
Also, not sure how much batter to put in the pan, because they aren't mini bundt pans, but they aren't full-sized, either, they're more like bundt juniors. Tips?
And if anyone has a really, really good recipe for a cake that involves whiskey, I need it please!
These are the pans in question:

I would say fill them 3/4 of the way up? That sounds like a good height. I don't know how big they are but you could turn over, glaze or whatever, and find a suitable-size box.

The idea is that you leave the goodies in the pretty paper pans. They need to be on a sheet tray when baking. Your glaze can go on top, it just won't run down the sides. Fill the pans 3/4 full and you should be fine. You can also fill them with rice or couscous and then measure how much batter they hold, and check with the recipe to see how much it makes.

I would totally make mini kugelhopfs or pannatone in thoes things, they are super-uber cute. I'd say even cuter than thoes cupcake tins that nordic ware makes, that are in the shape of super tiny bunt pans.

I got them at World Market. I wish they'd had this pattern when I was shopping, they're even cuter!
