Yesterday (in order of consumption):
- Two pieces of philly beef pizza (possibly the best pizza ever)
- A latte
- 500 ml coffee flavoured milk
- Chocolate milkshake
- Two iced doughnuts
- The last two slices of pizza
- Three beers
- small handful of cashews
- 1L of water throughout the day

Wow. Thats awesomely less than healthy. Although I did cycle 70km...

Only soft foods because I chipped a tooth whilst eating granola. And I had soaked it in the manner of proper museli sot it was supposed to soft too-I have no idea what caused the dentition to break. Tomorrow will only be worse as I go to the dentist.....

This morning, rolled oats(meal) with golden raisins, apple chunks and cinnamon. A fried egg. A slice of what my in-laws call a "monster pancake" which is actually a bunch of eggs, cup of flour, some milk, bit of salt, baked in a pie plate.

For lunch, turkey sandwiches, asian pear (I have discovered that these are wonderful), sawdust. My father in-law ate a grub that we found in the tree that he had just felled. I did not eat a grub.

For dinner, Sarah cooked up a wonderful turkey meatloaf with apricot BBQ sauce, some mashed spuds that were half sweet potato, assorted broiled veggies, and a loaf of whole wheat bread of some sort that she baked. Plus, amazing cookies with good stuff in them... flax seed and dried cranberries and oats and whatnot.

I could really get used to this wife-cooking-dinner thing!

After last night's lobster extravaganza I had ramen for breakfast, a swedish meatball sandwich for lunch and a bowl of potato-leek soup for dinner.

I had an awesome bowl of Menudo with fresh chopped onions and jalepenos, and soft warm tortillas. When I was younger I would never eat the tripe, but now I find it delicious. Only a witch could have concocted such a recipe.

Went and made myself some pb&j, but I've realized there's no milk in the house. My stubborn nature insists that I eat this sandwich, but caution gives me pause... this could turn into a predicament.

For lunch: chicken shawarma. An honest-to-god, vertical spit, garlic-tahini-tomato-pickle-parsley shawarma, like you get in the middle east. Not one of those lettuce-laden gyro/shawarma hybrid abominations you get at all the other 'middle eastern/Mediterranean' places in the area.

A new shawarma place opened up nearby, and restored my faith in this town.

Dinner looks like chickencakes (sorry, 'croquettes') and store-bought channa masala. It's my carnivorous take on aloo tikki chhole, a north Indian street food.

Dinner was some really awesome stir-fry, which led to my discovery of seitan... and I must say, I'm a fan.

Oat meal porridge with butter and brown sugar for breakfast.

Mashed potatoes, fried white fish with leek sauce, crated carrot salad and a bread roll with cream cheese for lunch at school. The bread roll was stone hard.

A couple chocolate biscuits for a snack.

Creamy red lentil and carrot soup with onions, rice and sunflower seeds for dinner. I wasn't patient enough with this and the rice was slightly raw, but despite that it was awesome. I will definitely eat more of this later on.

Berry granola and a mug of coffee to start the day. More coffee in the morning at work

Beef tongue kuey teow soup and sweet potato fritters with an ice lemon tea for lunch

Lasagne for dinner :P

Not today, but last night I went out and spent far too much money on dinner. I had:

entree: cured goose breast with chicken liver parfait, poached rhubarb, black pepper and ginger bread.
main: roasted breast of duck with cherries, green almonds and a star anise and ginger sauce.
dessert: savarin with Champagne poached peaches, mascarpone and amaretti biscuit.

best meal I've ever had.

Where did you eat it? It sounds like a great menu.

There's a great restaurant with that name in Chicago. Too bad you're down there in Oz.
I went to dinner at No.7 in Brooklyn with friends-we know the parents of one of the owners. Grilled Arctic Char, Lemon sole stuffed cabbage, Short Ribs, Fried Broccoli, Duck and Lentil Rillets, various deserts-stuffed to the gills now and a bit muzzy from the comped glasses of Muscado d'Asti. Not too expensive, either-all in all about $55.00 per person.

I had a few slices of bread from the french loaf at work (I work in a bakery) and had cereal for lunch, followed by popcorn. Not sure what I'll have for dinner. My fridge is pretty barren right now.

Hmm, I had sliced bread and coffee, scrambled eggs and rice. And for lunch, I had noodles...a new experiment by the househelp; just fine. And for dinner I had pork barbecue and rice.

And banana cue for snacks...its a yum! :)

Last Thursday, which happened to be my birthday, I made a trip to Stockholm for a upper secondary school chemistry scholarship. Since it is the national year of chemistry we were invited to eat at the city hall (the place of the Nobel Prize dinner, oh yeah). They served a delicious three-course meal of salmon, chicken and mushrooms. It might just be the greatest meal of my life. Never left the seat, everything was brought to you. We were treated with a performance by the percussion show group Conrytmo. It was awesome! :D

I'm not sure whether I like dried peaches. I bought a bag today with the intent of feeding them to friends and thought I should try one first. (I bring along a snack kit of nuts, dried fruit, and chocolate when we get together for a jam or other hangout.)

The peach slices start out tasting a bit papery, then turn sour/sweet as you chew. The flavour does get quite potent toward the end. I think I was expecting more sweet, less sour, but overall they're okay I guess.
