Non-alcoholic Cocktails

We have a liquor thread, and a cocktails thread, but some of us don't drink booze that often, for whatever reason. Either you don't like it, or you're on medication, or religious reasons. Whatever.

That doesn't mean that you can't make your beverages a little more interesting.

This thread is for your favorite non-alcoholic cocktails and drinks. I was inspired after getting the Mixologist app and seeing that it had a surprisingly large selection of non-alcoholic cocktails.

I'll start it off.

Arnold Palmer: Equal parts Unsweetened iced tea and lemonade. Surprisingly refreshing, this is my drink of choice at restaurants.

End Wrench: 3oz Orange Juice and 3oz tonic water. Said to taste a lot like a screwdriver. I have yet to try this. Or a screwdriver for that matter.

BONUS: Ginger-ale makes good iced cubes for punch. Stick a maraschino cherry or two in each one.

Anyone else have any booze-free drinks that they like?

Unsweetened coconut-flavored seltzer water with limeade or pineapple juice. Very tasty.

Almost any fruit syrup in a glass with a sprtiz from a soda syphon. Add some muddled lime and ginger and you're good to go.

While I don't care for being a pendant, (Ironic for this site I know) would it really be a cocktail without the important part?

Aside from the obvious use with berlier weisse, and mixing with regular yogurt, sometimes I throw wooddruff syrup and water in one of my corny kegs and force carb it for a soda. Served with cucumber or kiwano, it's pretty tasty - even if it's more of a summer thing (highs around here right now are only ~60f)...

If you put a brightly colored fruit syrup at the bottom, and add a clear soda of some sort, it makes a pretty gradient from darker colored to lighter colored, and if you add a lime wedge and some sort of garnish around the rim of the glass (salt, sugar, etc), it's very festive. A simple Google for "virgin cocktails" yields a plethora of results.

This has been my regular dinner drink since about age ten. Both juices are excellent for mixing things - those in the northeast can get cran-cherry and such from Ocean Spray, and orange-guava is an amazing thing.

If I'm not in the mood to drink alcohol but still want to have something a bit fancier, I enjoy mixing orange juice (specifically not-from-concentrate) and 7-Up soda. It's quite delicious, though packed full of sugar.

If you're looking for something like this in the mid-atlantic GreatValue (wal-mart) makes an awesome cranberry-black cherry. It was hard to find when I lived up north because it flew off the shelves so quick.
