Play the Escape From Friend Zone Game, it's a Choose Your Own Adventure style online game about, you guessed it, escaping from the dreaded Friend Zone.

Awesome! I tried to use it as a way to practise my girl skills, but even in a game, I fail... :( Is there even a way to get into a relationship with Interesting Girl?

Yes (in fact, I did it on my first try, given the options  ) although she won't stick with you.

I don't want to be in a relationship with her anyway, I want to be her friend! :P

Is it even possible to win this (awesome) game?

It depends what you consider victory. I won the first time I played by staying home and sulking. 8)

Yeah it's really annoying that that's the case, but just click OK or Accept 2x and you should be able to play the game. It says that b/c I designed the site in Squarespace and it's bouncing the info back and forth between 2 URLs.

Also, if anyone wants to see the comic I did right before making the Friend Zone Game it's here:

Awesome.

On my first attempt it told me I should stay at home and masturbate but then I played again and got as far as a failed relationship and thoughts of suicide! :?

And damn, I can't seem to get Attractive Girl into bed.

I feel like I won this game because I got to the ending that specifically says that I win.

I won (interesting girl)! Which is really surprising, since I wasn't really trying to win the first time, and just choosing what I would actually do.

And that has not, in reality, proven nearly so successful as this game would lead me to believe!

Alas I can't seem to win interesting girl :(
I can get as far as her kissing me at the party and then having the "Relationship defining conversation" after she gets back from Mexico before she does the "Not ready for a relationship" thing.

I'm almost damn sure that past the first "Day Date" and the cinema visit (and the kiss at the party) there is no way to get any further with her. Can anyone prove me wrong?

@Maseiken: did you click the "there's more" link after the kiss at the party? I almost missed it.

I could, but that would involve me drawing my own panels to make an alternate ending :) I tried every path (unless there are some hidden...)

Hey everyone!

Thanks again for playing the game -- all the nonsense in it literally did happen to me in one way or another a few years ago.

the Interesting Girl thread does not end with you guys making out listening to YLT... if you get to this page there's a little link at the bottom that says "click to continue."

Also! No one's playing Boringly Attractive Girl? No one wants to do blow in the bathroom/"look at stars" on her rooftop?...Well I can't blame you, Interesting Girl IS more interesting. Plus she likes all the same bands you do, you don't have to pretend to like Gwen Stefani or whatever.

Yeah, I got to the "fade out" point too, and that link isn't there. I mean i checked the source and I found the HTML for the link, but it's hidden behind the imeem player.

Ok. I just checked, and that's just Safari. Firefox displays it fine.

Yeah, I just used Camino (Haven't gotten around to FF on this Compy yet.)
So yeah, turns out I can't win after all.

Weird! What browser are you guys on? In Firefox on Mac and PC it seems to work.

I just moved the text to be above the imeem player, does that help? Direct link to the page here

I was having trouble accessing it with both Firefox 3 and Internet Explorer 7.

The direct link to the first page works.

Yep, it works on Safari now.
Safari is the Standard Browser on macs so... I spend a lot of time dicking around on it for whatever reason. Once i have my own Compy I'm FF-ing the crap out of it.
