I'm riding high about the curve with 14455. I'm trying to do around 1800 words a day to absorb the days when I can't write at all, and so far, it's working great. It's a shame I don't like my story very much, but I think I can change that a bit.

I passed 20k. If I write like on drugs during the weekend, which I just might, I could get to 50k in half the time. Tempted to try.

Currently trying to figure out these two things while writing: where would one best hide an indestructible intergalactic teleporter? (okay wait, nevermind, I think I just got it), and exactly what are the first symptoms of zombification?

Yeah I'm the same. I'm not sure whether to keep going with it and hope I just hit a bit of a boring bump or chnage it all together, such s sending my characters into space or having a murder they have to solve (which I would like to do but I wrote murder mystery last year).

Thank you. Twitching is a good symptom. Will consider it. There is also the splitting headache. And I am all for sending characters into space.

Edit: I read an article online about how many established writers are totally not for people taking a "share of their shrinking pie" with NaNoWriMo and all. I scoffed at it.

On the one hand, I'm 5000 words behind, but on the other hand, the current section is smut. This is good because I don't plan on keeping it which means it can suck a lot so I can write really quickly.


But I really don't enjoy writing it.

ADDITION: Also, I know that it's common to base story events on things that happen in real life, but is it common to have something you write in a story to happen in real life after?

I am horribly behind, and not satisfied with my writing but at least I'm having fun. I kinda like the plot and all, but the execution is horribly immature and well, bad. [via not writing often]

I intend to finish it, and I'm currently pretending to catch up, because I'm afraid I'll give up on it once I miss the deadline or something.

I've done NaNo for three years. I lost the first year and won last year and this year. I won three days ahead this year on the 27th. It was fun but I didn't finish my novel. I probably never will. It turned out very different from how I expected. It feels like I'm ripping off the tv show Nikita during the last 1/4 of it.

This goes against everything I'm good at, besides writing itself. I am extremely short-and-to-the-point, a perfectionist, and lack long-term dedication to projects.
Though I did enjoy setting fire to my protagonist.
