6957.5 + 4.2 = 6961.7

### Re: Run 10,000 miles

Posted: Fri Jun 08, 2012 5:38 pm UTC
6961.7 + 3.7 + 2 + 3 + 3 = 6973.4

This is my first 20+ mile week so I'm pretty psyched. My time, over 3 miles, is getting much better too. Still not very competitive, but I'm down to a 9 minute mile...

### Re: Run 10,000 miles

6973.4 + 8.2 + 4.2 = 6985.8

Hiya!

Fantastic holiday accomplished!

6996 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 6 + 3 = 7017

Tresco is only 3 miles around, so on Friday I ran around twice. Pictures to follow (once I figure out how to how to get them here from an iPhone).

So, 70% of the way there. What are we going to do next?

Run 20,000 miles? Oooh, run every mile we've ran so far but in reverse! (so back on holiday with you)

7017 + 2.42 + 4 + 2.5 + 2 + .5 = 7028.42

Running my first 5k at the end of the month so time to get serious (doing tempo and interval runs 2x a week now)

### Re: Run 10,000 miles

Posted: Tue Jun 12, 2012 7:38 pm UTC
7028.42 + 18 = 7046.4

Dropping 100th place. For serious.

But I worked hard for that .02!

Ok, I'll make it up this evening.

7046.4 + 3.6 = 7050

This looks like a fun thread!

Went to the gym today so 7050 + 3 = 7053.

Also, did a 5k run with a friend about a month back, and since it was for charity I think the miles should go here, and since I'm almost positive she doesn't visit these boards, I'll add her in too. 7053 + 3.1 + 3.1 = 7059.2

### Re: Run 10,000 miles

7059.2 + 5.5 = 7064.7

### Re: Run 10,000 miles

7064.7 + 5.2 + 3.7 + 3.7 = 7077.3

OK,I'm in! It means I have to go back to running past views like this:

### Re: Run 10,000 miles

7083.7 + 2 + 3 + 5 + 0.5 = 7094.2

(5 miles at 9:30, 0.5 miles a few hours later to see what a 7 minute mile felt like... gah, I don't know how you 6:30 people do it. I'mma throw up now)

### Re: Run 10,000 miles

Posted: Sat Jun 16, 2012 6:33 am UTC
7094.2 + 3 + 5 + 3 + 2.5 + 1.5 +2.5 = 7111.7

edit: OOPS sorry replied to the wrong total! fixed now.

Gym time:

7121.3 + 3 + 5 + 5 = 7134.3

I gotta contribute to this epic effort.

7134.3 + 3.4 + 2.2 + 1.8 + 2 = 7143.7

### Re: Run 10,000 miles

7134.3 + 2 + 3.5 + 5 + 3.1 = 7147.9

I'd forgotten about this thread and I'm just about to get properly into training for my first marathon! I think I have a solid enough base, but need to do some longer runs.

This week in km:
13+6+5+6+11+5 = 46 km = 28.6 miles.

7154.7 + 28.6 = 7183.3

### Re: Run 10,000 miles

Posted: Sat Jun 23, 2012 8:04 am UTC
7183.3 + 4.0 = 7187.3

How I feel when I get off the treadmill:

### Re: Run 10,000 miles

Posted: Sat Jun 23, 2012 4:43 pm UTC
7187.3 + 3.2 + 3.2 + 3.2 + 3.2 + 6.2 = 7206.3

And now I'm going to destroy any benefit from this week in one evening of alcohol-fueled debauchery. See you later in the drunk thread.

### Re: Run 10,000 miles

7206.3 + 3 = 7209.3

Need to go to gym more.

### Re: Run 10,000 miles

7209.3 + 8.7 + 3.5 + 3.5 (& a swim, at 0730, in the Solent, which was freezing, I've gotta be loosing it). = 7225

### Re: Run 10,000 miles

Oof. I really need to remember to post here more often.

Well, done on finishing your exams.

Sorry, vanished for a bit there. Got knocked of my bike by a sodding Addison Lee minivan, buggered up my back and was just getting over that when I went down with a cold. So, I've had ten slothful days to get thoroughly out of shape.

However, back to it....l

7418.6 + 7.8 = 7426.4

(Thankyou, John Griffin, you knob. Your belief that cyclists should take a test to ride in London would have a little more weight if there was any sign your drivers had ever passed any sort of test to drive in London. Even then, not much. )

Err, guys?

Hello?

It's suddenly gone very quiet around here.

I got 6 miles in store but I want to add another run at least ...

Meanwhile... Themis-Lessthanliz may have finished the challenge on her own

### Re: Run 10,000 miles

That's a good point. Liz, have you gone all Forest Gump on us again and just kept running?

It's definitely gone suddenly quiet in the last 3 weeks. Either everyone is on holiday or they are too hot (USA) or too under-water (UK) to run?

Anyway....

7433.4 + 3.3 + 10.3 = 7444

### Re: Run 10,000 miles

As for my absence, this summer has just been busy. I'm a law student who is going into her last year, so I've been working at my internship, doing some pro-bono clinics, trying to figure out how to prepare for the bar, looking for post-graduate work, then drowning my sorrows when I realize everything's broken.

### Re: Run 10,000 miles

I'm not too much of a dedicated runner, but at some point this year I was running way often and way longer... exams (Arabic translation student, last year 2nd coming) and holiday trips are ruining my routine

I've found a teacher who has embarked me in some investigation work, got a student for Arabic private lessons and 3 exams to sit in september... not my sea, bike, run, hike planned summer...

7541.5 + 6.8 + 3 = 7551.3

XC kills. I went from 2.5 miles every 2 or 3 days to 5 every day in a week or two.
7551.3 + 5 + 5 = 7561.3
