482 + 4 = 486

Mark you, those 4 miles were up and back our nearest moorland tor, with a hangover. I nearly threw up in the middle of a bronze-age hill fort. My celtic ancestors would have come back and given me a good kicking.

PT: 122

[edit]
486 + 4 = 490

2 miles of that was running along the tide line on Lelant beach. Remember the scene at the start of Bourne Supremacy running on the beach in Goa? It was almost completely not like that. Back in SE now. Oh well....

I did a half marathon yesterday! I checked the route online, came out to about 13.5. My legs are still a little sore, it took my 2 hours and 23 minutes so how a REAL marathon runner does a full thing in that time is beyond me.

Brilliant! Well done! I admit I've not signed up for a half marathon yet this year. I probably should. Good for you getting a race under your belt so early in the year.

505 + 4 (yesterday) + 3 (today) = 512

Yet another bad week. It looks like the busy part of my year is starting about 6 weeks early :?.

It wasn't an official race or anything, I just planned out the route beforehand and went for it. My route took a diversion though but it ended up being 13.5, fun times though.

Hm. Let's do some math. I started running in 7th grade, let's say 15 miles a week. Moved up to 35/week by the time I was in 12th grade. Ran 2 years in college, 40 or 45/week. Since then I've ran 5 marathons and a dozen half marathons.

Heck, that's 10,000 miles right there.

15 miles a week in the 7th grade is pretty damn good, you'd be in incredible shape by now.

I'm in awe. 15-20 miles per week is all I can manage now. Admittedly I'm knocking on a bit. To be fair we are only really counting miles run since this thread started.

Jan 9th - 5 mile "Frigid Five Mile" road race
Jan 16th - 7.2 mile "Chilly Cheeks" trail race
Feb 5th - 8.5 miles and 40 flights of steps
Feb 19th - 5 mile "Frostbite Five Mile" road race

I met up with a friend and did one mile on track before going to the gym. I think this still counts right?
I haven't done a time trial in yearrrrs. Hit a 5:46. I made a two-year goal to break 5.

9km yesterday *gets google to convert to miles*

648.6 + 5.6 = 654.2

For Sydney people - it was a really nice run around the Blackwattle Bay/Rozelle Bay area - mostly along the water there, recommend it - mostly flat, but with some hills in the area that you can include. Doing a 5km at Oatley on 3rd April and the SMH half-marathon on 14th May.

Couldn't get in to a half marathon before the summer, but I've managed to get a slot in the 'run to the beat' half marathon on 25th September.

A friend asked me if I wanted to do a 50km race the other day. I'm glad I turned him down, given that it would be equivalent to me doing every single run I've done this whole year in one go.
