The computer programmer in me tells me we're at -9997 now. I'll add a few and bring us back up to -9992.
I edit my posts a lot and sometimes the words wrong order words appear in sentences get messed up.

I'm pretty sure this isn't the first time we reach 10,000.
For the past four Weeks, I've been doing 100 total pullups on Monday and 5x5 weighted ones on Friday. So if no one minds, I'll add those.
10,002+475=10,477

Let's restart this? Only pull-ups done in 2017 count. Also (this is for each person to keep track themselves), no half reps!
7+5+4 on Sunday, and 8 on Monday = 24

I'm in. I have exactly 21 weeks to get in the best shape of my life, before I begin by far my most aggressive summer backpacking tour.
In for the night, but I will begin at some point shortly here. Just wanted you to know you weren't alone.

Will also join to get some peer-pressure for motivation. Trying to start this weekend.

Don't have time to go to the gym today or tomorrow, couldn't really find anything great to hang off of around my house. Wound up just hanging off a wallish thing and dragging my way up and down, for a kind of half pull-up half bicep-curl motion. Stayed pretty strict on depth and height though, so I'm gonna say they count.

Turns out housemate had a decent doorframe bar, so back in business.
Peeeeer pressure.

Thanks, it is appreciated.Samik wrote:Peeeeer pressure.

Unfortunately had to work on Saturday so didn't get around to start. Hopefully this week goes better. Also, do sit-ups/push-ups count?

Well, there's a 10,000 pushups thread as well, that actually made it all the way to 50,785, but has not been posted in for over two years (used to contribute, but don't really do pushups anymore these days).
Once upon a time fit club (and the forum as a whole?) was much more active.

I'd rather keep this thread for pull-ups specifically, but it's not my thread, so doesn't really matter what I want

Feel awful. Intended to do a full workout anyway. Got through one set and tapped out.
Still, haven't hit 16 in a while. Very strict, full range of motion, right through #16.
Can live with that as today's small victory.

I wish I was hitting 16. 2 months ago I was barely hitting 4. Now I'm barely hitting 10.

I would say that once you're hitting double digits, you're officially good at pullups. Everything after that.. just becomes a grind to keep besting yourself by one every now and then.
I'm not sure I'm ever going to really commit enough to that single-exercise grind again to make another personal best. The ten-years-and-15lbs-ago version of me will probably keep his podium spot on this one... If I ever get back up above 20, it will probably have more to do with losing weight than actually getting stronger.
Anyway...
733 + 24 = 757
Re: 10,000 Pull-ups (or Chin-ups)
I am definitely not going to hit the numbers I did when I was younger. My goal now is to get more done over a set time frame.
I have been doing 10 minute EMOM sets. At first I was happy to get 30 done in 10 minutes. Now I am up to 50 and starting to feel pretty good.
I got tired of waiting around after my pullups(5 pullups only takes 13-15 seconds) so I added in a set of 10 pushups too. 100 pushups and 50 pullups in 10 minutes was surprisingly challenging.
757 + 50 = 807

Re: 10,000 Pull-ups (or Chin-ups)
984 + 15 + 15 = 1014
Re: 10,000 Pull-ups (or Chin-ups)
1014 + 10 + 15 = 1039
Re: 10,000 Pull-ups (or Chin-ups)
1039 + 55 Chin ups + 27 Pullups = 1121
Re: 10,000 Pull-ups (or Chin-ups)
1121 + 17 + 14 = 1152
Re: 10,000 Pull-ups (or Chin-ups)
1152 + 37 + 31 = 1220
