VCE EXAMS! (and anyone else in australia sitting midyears)

Postby trebor » Tue Jun 08, 2010 9:00 am UTC

Anyone else on these forums doing their midyear exams this week? I had my Biology exam today, and man it was harder than expected, anyone elses thoughts on that particular exam?

Our class sat last years exam in proper exam conditions as a practice and I would've gotten an A+, man I wish it was last years exam we did this year........

Yeah, midyears in two weeks -.-. I've got Music and Japanese on the same day. Chemistry the next. A three day break and then Psychology, and then English Studies the day after.

Not looking forward to Chemistry, but the others should be easy (especially Japanese...we're allowed a translation dictionary). I still haven't started revising though...

Had Physics yesterday, which went well. Then Chemistry today, which I was really pleased with :) Only the GAT and a Methods SAC left then I'm done for the week.

Are the VCE midyears the same across Victoria?

I had my midyear exams the last two weeks. I'm in WA, though, so we have WACE instead, and our midyears are set by the individual school. Pretty much bombed Lit and Italian, which I'm annoyed about, but eh... hopefully I'll improve for mocks. My other four (Physics, Chem, Maths and Maths Specialist) were all in the mid-90s, so I was happy with that.

yeah VCE exams are standardised across the state, so they can accurately compare schools and students. Not every subject has a midyear though, just the sciences and accounting I think?

Mid-years are over, don't think I've done well =\, means I gotta study for end of years, where there's 2 exams for methods/specialist each, calc/no calc, physics, english and chemistry =\.

Bump! :) Now only three days away from the start of end of years. How's everyone feeling? Personally I'm feeling ok about English and Spesh, a little unprepared for Methods, great for Physics and Chem, but I still need to do more prac exams for those last two.

Good luck everyone doing exams in the next few weeks :)
