Kill Six Billion Demons

Postby raudorn » Sun Oct 30, 2016 2:33 pm UTC

I just stumbled upon this glorious graphic novel. It's published online with one book out in print so far. It has great art, plays in a fascinating world(s) and the writing isn't falling short in any way. K6BD does have themes (and depiction) of violence and the world is all about religion and mythology (in a way), so maybe it's not something for people who are sensitive about these things. For all others, I highly recommend checking it out.

Anyone else reading it?

The fuck... this comic has no business being this good.

It's reminding me of a few things I've been reading lately, like Max Gladstones Craft series, and Westworld.
... with gigantic melancholies and gigantic mirth, to tread the jeweled thrones of the Earth under his sandalled feet.

"Her azure orbs glanced over the mysterious stranger"

Oh, so it's that kind of fanfiction.
"She gasped, feeling a strange sensation in her ample busom"

Oh, so it's that that kind of fanfiction.

I can agree this is simply awesome. You can see the classic epic hero's journey, with the exactly right twists, in the works. The religo-mystical stuff hits just the right spots that got me excited when reading, say, Foucault's Pendulum.

Probably my new favorite webcomic.

Hey this is interesting. Read up to 3-45, then I bookmarked it. I'll probably come back, it's quirky in a cool way.
