Re: The Order of the Stick
What an unexpected twist.
I thought for sure that Vaarsuvius would end up getting possessed at an inopportune time, and there would be assorted drama along the lines of I-can't-trust-you-always-but-I-need-to-keep-you-around, and so on. But no, Burlew can still defy expectations.

Well, well. Well, well, well... This certainly shuffles around quite a few cards. I expect V to come out of stasis any minute now and Durkon just became a Joker with uncertain allegiance. And the whole race to the gate got delayed to the next gate.

And just when I was starting to like Malack
Rich Burlew is probably channeling his inner G.R.R Martin.

Ahh, touche. I thought things might have been different this time around with the rate comics have been coming out lately. LOL @ "take a break from the regular updates".
I don't think I ever got around to reading the last backer PDF.

OotS is back!
I'm really happy to finally see Durkon getting the spotlight again. He hasn't gotten any real stories of his own since book 1.

So, Roy has sleeves now. This is by far the most disconcerting thing about the new art style.
I'm not sure if I pictured him without sleeves before. I don't think it was a question that entered my mind, as I was quite happy to accept OotS at whatever level of reality it was at, which was further away than it is now.

for my feeling, those hands are much too massive now. looks like they are carrying pitchforks.
Re: The Order of the Stick
When I read the first strip with the new artstyle, it took me the entire strip to properly notice it. I really like it for being the same as before, but more. The additional details really improve the mood of the scenes. I mean, it's just a rainy day and some trouble on the airship, but it stills look really good. I'd love to see some of the key moments of OOTS reimagined in this art style.
Re: The Order of the Stick
It's actually similar to a style he used for a Julio Scoundrel short in "Snips, Snails, and Dragon Tales". Presumably the Kickstarter bonus strip will be similar – whenever it's done.
