Should I nominate Carlington as chancellor? I know they sent me a liberal policy, so I trust them slightly more than mpolo right now.

I expect that you and he doing the Putin-Medvedev thing would be the highest probability of another liberal policy enacted.

Okay, sick.

So, I was sent one liberal and one fascist policy. Assuming all the claims thus far have been true, six fascist policies have been discarded. That leaves five in the deck, which isn't enough for the fascists to win?
Um,
What happens once we run through the whole policy deck? (Sorry if that was in the rules, it's like 02:30)
I guess probably the discarded policies are just shuffled and used again. Still, we have ideas on how many of each policy are left, and we can assign probabilities to different claimed three-card draws.

Assuming everyone so far has told the truth, the presidents have had:

Carlington: 2F, 1L
Lawrencelot: 2F, 1L
GoP: 2L, 1F

In other news, I plan to nominate Lawrencelot for Chancellor. To give time for any other discussion, I'll wait until Monday morning CST to make it official.

Would anyone object to changing the vote to a public vote in thread? There's been a couple of complaints about the lack of discussion in thread, and having a public vote may help remedy that.

I got a liberal and fascist policy and chose the liberal one.

Gopher of Pern or mpolo as Chancellor? Well, Gopher chose a liberal policy when he had to choose between liberal and fascist, as confirmed by Carlington.

Mpolo hasn't done anything that points to either way.

Let's choose Gopher?

I'm happy enough on the face of things to nominate Gopher, but I do want to get home and update the tallies I'm keeping before I commit.
As far as I can see, we can just continue like this until a fascist policy gets up, that's when we're going to have to hesitate and ask questions about why it did.

Can I just ask to be super clear:
At the end of each hand, do you just put all cards back into the deck and shuffle it, so the chances of drawing any given combo of cards are the same every time? If not, what's the process, do we play until the deck is empty and then shuffle it and start again?

IF everyone is telling the truth, there have been 6 policies of each type dealt. Which means there are 5 cards left in the deck, all of which are fascist. By my reading of the rules, the discards will be shuffled in after this turn, as there will not be 3 cards to draw, so they are all shuffled in before any are drawn.

Frankly, I would prefer mpolo to be nominated, as there is very little chance (no chance if everyone is truthful) of there being a single liberal policy.
