The year is 1932. Germany is still ravaged by the aftermath of the first world war. One man wants to restore the country to it's former glory, but at what cost?
You can download the rules here.
(Dropbox link to the rules)
The game needs at least five players, but can run with up to 10.
3. Lawrencelot (can't download the rules, link is broken)
4. Gopher of Pern
2. ConMan (realised I will probably be otherwise occupied around the time this runs)
3. Madge (only available as a replacement, please don't bump me into players)
The Liberals win if:
- Five Liberal policies are enacted.
- Hitler is Executed.
- Six Fascist policies are enacted.
- Hitler is elected Chancellor after the 3rd Fascist policy is enacted.
There are 3 main phases:
- Executive Action
Each month (yes, we're working on a compressed timescale, deal with it), the President "role" will be passed to the next player on the list. That President nominates the Chancellor, subject to the restriction that neither the previous President nor Chancellor of the last successfully elected Parliament are eligible for nomination. That means that if players A and B were president and Chancellor respectively of the parliament that received the last Ja vote, B can be president, but neither A nor B can be chancellor.. Then, the government (President and Chancellor) will be voted on Ja (approve) or Nein (dissaprove), failure to vote or ties counting as Nein. If the majority vote Nein, the president moves to the next player, and we start again at the top.
If there are three Nein votes, a random policy will be enacted by the standing president.
This is effectively, Night. In a IRL game, this is done in silence.
The president will then receive an Agenda of three policies, drawn randomly from a deck of Fascist and Liberal policies. At the start of the game, the deck consists of 6 Liberal and 11 Fascist policies.
The President discards one policy, and passes the other two to the Chancellor, who picks one to enact, discarding the other.
After this, talking can resume.
If the policy enacted was Fascist, the President may get to utilize an Executive Action.
1st, 2nd: None
3rd: The President is informed of the Agenda (policies) the next president will select from.
4th: The president can Execute (publicly) one player.
5th: The president can Execute one player, and the Veto ability is unlocked.
I will explain Veto if and when it becomes relevant - or check out the rules linked above.
I am letting anyone PM any other player at any time posting in thread is permitted, provided that I am CC'd.
This is a five player game, so there will be one Fascist, Hitler, and three liberals. Hitler and the Fascist will know who each other are
Liberal Role PMs wrote:You are Liberal.
Hitler's Role PM wrote:You are Hitler. Your supporter is <x>.
Fascist Role PM wrote:You are Fascist. Hitler is <y>.
The game will start after all five players have confirmed.
Carlington is president. No policies have been enacted.
