somitomi's actually my top scum pick based on content. Vicarin's a close second, but some of that is gut.

I approve of this plan. If we lynched wrong scum Zenii has already won. If somi-Zen are a team then mpolo is most likely the indy so town should still have a majority.

At this point, it's impossible for you, Vic or Zen to be mafia without being buddies with Somitomi, so changing the lynch now is definitely a bad plan. Waiting to hammer is fine.

Nope, that's false. It's also possible if the mafia are uncertain that the indy will side with them. Still, changing now is a bad plan.

I am having issues viewing the thread, and even more trouble posting, not sure if it is me or the server. If we hammer by consensus fine but I will be very disappointed if someone tries something stealthy.

Unvote

For technical reasons. It takes several minutes and/or multiple tries for me just to get something to post.

Yeah, I know I and Zen are also having issues. Probably it's everyone. I've been having minor issues for several weeks, but it is especially bad right now.

Seriously doubt anyone's going to just try to speedhammer unless they're very, very sure that any possible indie is able to work with them. Also, if the indie turned out to be somitomi, they'd have just shot themselves in the foot by trying to speedhammer.

Wait, we've had all this discussion about people thinking mpolo got framed, but it was hard to explain his N1 apparent visit to bessie. However, we DO have someone who visited mpolo that night, who doesn't have an explanation (still) for what they were doing, who could have been framing him right then.

Zen, explain.

Should we wait until somitomi gets replaced then seeing as I'd say the lynch target not being able to speak for 4 days would be slightly more of an issue than a speedhammer? :P

Bessie and others, do you think my no gf reason holds up? Bessie I put less weight toward the reasoning on boom because he has a weaker role than mpolo. He also was the third person to target mpolo N1.

Zen, I do think your reasons for not having a godfather are valid, and it was something I had considered. I was thinking of searching the forum to find Sabrar’s opinion as to whether or not he considered godfather a bastard role but I never did because I would need to search specific threads to avoid Gojoe, so it would have been a project. The choice of mafia or not-mafia is also one of the reasons in my 2-mafia setup column (vs 3-mafia setup), it would have been nice at least hear somitomi’s claim.

Just going back and forth between p 27 and p 28 took a lot of time. :(

Holt came out of his office, after making a series of phone calls.

“I have bad news. The precinct’s locksmith is in Buffalo, and took his tools with him. In addition, we have been asked for two more officers to go out to the location the dog was recovered from. I believe there may be an animal cruelty bust in the works.”

“Aww, man! Terry doesn’t like it when people are mean to mother nature’s innocent creatures.” Terry whined.

“Can I go, sir?” Amy asked, standing even straighter than usual.

“Yes, Seargent. Take Boyle with you.”

“Back to the hotel? But the dog will eat me!”

“Come on, Boyle.” Jake quipped. “You’ve gotta face your fears.”

Boyle nodded, a determined expression forming on his face. “You’re right Jake. I’ve got to try and be brave like you!”

“That’s not what I - just go, okay? Save the city from animal cruelty.” Jake said, exasperated.

Cheddar yipped in apparent agreement.

Re: Brooklyn 99 Mafia: Halloween Heist - Day 4 - Asashination Attempt

Postby Madge » Wed Nov 28, 2018 11:18 pm UTC

The next hour passed smoothly: Boyle and Amy came back from their trip to the animal cruelty bust; a father came in with his small child, wanting to get some candy x-rayed, and Terry directed them downstairs to the community outreach centre where Rosa had been sent to work; and Amy went over to Gina’s desk to discuss how to beat a particularly difficult level of Kwazy Cupcakes.

Terry took out his phone and started texting. Captain Holt came out of his office, and shot Terry a disapproving look.

“Sergeant Jeffords? May I have a word?”

“Of course, sir.”

They went into Holt’s office together. Amy grinned, ran back to her desk, and put a pair of large, obvious headphones on.

Jake gave her a suspicious look. “What are you doing, Ames?”

“What do you think? I’ve bugged Holt’s office. If they’re planning anything, I’ll know it.”

“Ooo, what are they saying?” Jake asked, grinning.

“Like I’m going to tell you, loser.” She stuck out her tongue at him. They shared a cute look and laughed.

“Oh my goodness what an adorable couple!” Boyle exclaimed, coming up beside the pair of them and hugging them both. “Amy, when are you going to bear forth Jake’s offspring? I’ve been waiting for eight years!”

They both glared at him. “Shut up, Boyle.” They said in unison.

Boyle looked about to retort when Amy’s eyes widened in shock and she slapped her desk in excitement. “Oh my goodness. I think Captain Holt looked at Terry’s phone and found out he was colluding with someone via text message.”

“Who could it have been -”

Terry walked out of Holt’s office, with Holt close behind.

“Aww man!” Terry exclaimed. “They got me!”

“What did they get you for, hunky man?” Gina asked. She sat at her desk, not looking up from her phone.

“I found evidence that Sergeant Jeffords was colluding with someone by examining his text message logs. Unfortunately, I do not know who he was in touch with as he had the conversation entered into his phone as ‘small picture of mount fuji small picture of a doctor small picture of a bicep’, which is utterly incomprehensible to me, and all the messages have been deleted. Gina, do you have any ideas?”

“Probably they wanted to say they were mounting an operation to retrieve the victory sash, but it’s very clipped. Whoever wrote it clearly wasn’t a native speaker of emoji.”

“Nobody’s a native speaker of emoji!” Terry cried out. “They don’t mean anything! I just picked them at random.”

“Well, then, I suppose we still can not be sure who you were working with. But I am sending you downstairs on community outreach for the rest of the night so you can no longer interfere with the sanctity of this tradition.” Holt decreed.

Amy visited Gina in the night.

Somitomi has been voted out of the game and has been sent downstairs to work on community outreach. He was Terry Jeffords, Mafia Strongman and Jack of all Trades.

It is now Day 4. Night 4 falls in a week.

Re: Brooklyn 99 Mafia: Halloween Heist - Day 3: Sash Impasse

Postby Vicarin » Thu Nov 29, 2018 12:15 am UTC

Well, ok, guess I'll have to come clean in this situation...

I'm an Indie, a Survivor that only really cares about the Sash. As long as I can hold onto the Sash when there's only Town or Mafia left, then I can win with either side.

Interestingly, when I get a win with the Sash in this fashion, all the other people on the winning team get a Sash win too. So I think I can solve some issues with people possibly trying to fight over the Sash at the end of the game.

I'm also rather good at finding the Sash if its owner gets killed or lynched, and I managed to pick it up after LaserGuy died. I think Heist needs to fail first on a kill though before I get the chance to take it. Hence, I wanted to know where it was D1, or failing that, have a good reason to lynch the person who had it for failing to cooperate with town. Oh well.

I did kind of see somitomi do the NK yesterday (along with a protective ability, so I guess he did have a jail) so I miiiight have had a vested interest in trying to force the game into a Mafia win seeing as they seemed to be doing ok, being 1 mislynch away from winning if I sided with them. But seeing the situation now, I'm perfectly happy cooperating with Town. And, assuming that I can get the Sash at the end of the game, any weird uses of abilities can also be avoided. Otherwise, you're all going to have a scrap over it trying to satisfy your Sash wincons...

I honestly have no goddamn idea what's going on with mpolo seeing as I doubt he's Indie too. I guess he really just isn't paying any attention to the game. He can confirm that he's probably the person who nicked the Sash off me last night when I followed him, I guess :P.

I had the Sash on, couldn't get blocked. Though she may have still tried, have to see if she got the Sash instead.

mpolo did an investigative action, and I wanted to check that he wasn't doing anything super dodgy. It was one of you, BoomFrog or Zen for checking that.
