This sucks for the game. Since the one and only 'secret' knowledge in the game is who the scum are, and it wasn't spoiler reading ("through no fault of his own"), that means roband somehow knows one or both of the spies. Which means he, or anyone who replaces him, is town. Even if it was spoiler-reading and he learned that someone is town, it still means he is town as well (because if he were scum, he'd already know everyone's role).

Mav missed the possibility that a scum player could have received secret, useful information about other players' plans (e.g. read a spoiler from the other scum that said "I'm going to sabotage this mission; I hope the other doesn't so that we can trick the town"). I do agree, though, that having *muting* be the fix basically confirms roband as town.

Not a perfect solution, but beats finding a replacement late in the game, and allows for the final mission headache. If it had been as simple as roband reading a spoiler, I would have replaced him.

I always always look at who is viewing the forum to see if I can expect any replies soon, saw Lataro there, then I went to check Who Is Online to see if Ibarra was still around and noticed Lataro had gone from mafia to viewing PMs. There is absolutely no end to my meta-treachery

Must take high road and not use this! Probably will, as it won't convince anyone, but I'll figure something out for later.

For those playing along at home, I'm being an ass about this because I'm a well-armed dreamer. I'm a one-shot PGO, and a listener to scum chat. One of them talked about a one-shot kill power N1, and I thought it might be cjdrum. They also commented on all being bird-type roles. They were pretty paranoid about a listener though, so they didn't give me much to work with. I'm not claiming this now in hopes that lack of a listener claim will lead to them being more careless N2, and maybe giving me something to work with. Since the only way I can die without my power triggering is via roleblock kill, lynch, or this daykill, I'm reasonably safe from scum. I'm really just of the opinion that if I get lynched town can just be screwed and not know what I know, as punishment for lynching me.

I think this is the town's game to win. They have four useful cops and four nights of investigations, while 6p Dethy has two useful cops and two nights of investigations - that's four times as much useful investigation for less than twice as many players, *and* it'll be that much more work for the scum to create convincing false claims.

Scum strat thoughts: Probably all should fake either Paranoid or Naive to avoid being caught in lies - they're going to be killing any cops who claim non-identical results anyway, starting N3, so it's okay if those cops end up being quasi-confirmed town. And have a scum player claim being blocked at some point, and probably never actually block anyone - the block is only useful for wine.

Come to think of it, scum strategy will depend heavily on their distribution in the player list.

...has been a pretty much foregone conclusion since early Day 2. If the Terrorist Leader had killed Mav last night, they might still have a (very slight) chance, but town have this in the bag now.

Haha, targetted twice! I guess posting all about what strategies the VIP should use was a great plan. There existed a slight chance that scum would have won last night if I was killed by one kill and the copilot by the other, although that would have been unlucky targeting from the doctor's end as he would have to have picked the one choice that would have prevented such a scenario.

A town win was pretty much inevitable once we had lynched correctly D1 and scum happened to target the worst choice possible, except for the assassin which would have been worse. I actually think it was balanced pretty well though, town was always at risk of losing if we lost a pilot D1 or N1 and the whole assassin possessing another kill helped balance the presence of both the cop and the doctor and a roleblocker.

This is definitely not a slight against roband (or ThinkSweet). Having never modded a game, though, I wonder what about 'starting the day' takes so much time? You send a cop result here, forward an anonymous PM there, determine who died, and post "It is now D5. Mav died, she was [role]". We're talking about flavourless here, I can see how flavourwriting can be time-consuming.

Or that's how I imagine things go, anyway.
