Now, people have posted the rules of mafia games. They're all perfectly valid. However, everyone begins at rule 1. The MOST IMPORTANT rule is Rule 0.

Rule 0: To take part in any mafia game on XKCDia, a policeman's hat is required. Failure to obey this rule may lead to expulsion from life itself.

So, go-on, everyone. Hat it up.

I'd say pick the most suspicious one and get voting. That would of course not include myself, I may be a noob but I know that encouraging my own death isn't that clever.

I don't know, maybe you want to do more analyzing? But as you say, we do have a game to play, and we need to get going. Even if voting just gets the conversation going again. . .

There isn't much more analyzing to do really, unless we start analyzing the actions of oneofthedragon and see if there is anyone who might have a reason for going after him.

And I'm still mostly suspicious of Tigion myself, his defense didn't really give me anything one way or the other, but then again, it's not like you can really defend yourself at all in these games and look credible. But he is anyway not contributing much atm, so we don't loose much on lynching him.

(Is a detective squirrel close enough to a police squirrel to be approved btw?)

My defense? I have no defense. I was lurking or focusing on other things. Yes, I'm not dedicated to the game, bloo bloo bloo.
Lurking does not mean mafia. In my case, It just means a lack of focus. If I were mafia, I would care more, become for involved in the game, see who is the most deserving of a night kill.
As much as everyone wants it, there is no surefire way to tell if someone's mafia or not. Each player has their own tactics.

In this situation does it make more sense to lynch someone who has been acting remotely suspiciously than lynch a lurker who is having little effect on the game.

Given we have no real suspicions my inclination is to lynch someone not realy participating in the game but id like other opinions.

Just went through dragon's posts. Only thing that strikes me is that he voted for irrefutable. Kind of got on his case a bit, don't you think? The only other people he voted for was myself and spoon. Spoon is dead, and I am not mafia. Could this be noob-revenge?

Or it could be your revenge. I wouldn't put it past you, and I don't except "I'm not mafia" as a defense. Irrefutable could've killed dragon, but if the other member was an IC mafia he wouldn't have let Irrefutable do that.

Ok, I understand that "Im not Mafia" isn't a good enough excuse. But look at it this way, would I really have pointed out who dragon voted for if I was mafia, putting myself at great risk? Would be a bit stupid. :roll:

I'm pretty much deciding whether to cast my vote for Margi or Irrefutable right now. I doubt Margi would attack Irrefutable over so many days so often is she were mafia, but it's possible. Irrefutable hasn't done much to help the game and seems a bit apathetic. Maybe he's also trying to double bluff about the whole dragon/Irrefutable thing.
