By the way, what timezones are people in so I can figure out when to expect the most action? I'm in Australia, but will probably be accessing this all the time since I no longer have anything to do, just finished school.

Hahaha that is where you are mistaken. While my mum's side came with convicts my dad is descended from middle class british who moved to Chile before coming to Australia. So that means I am some sort of mafia townie since my evil British ancestry clashes with the awsomeness that is Australia.

Florida, and EST, but I tend to be on during the early hours 'cause I'm out of school, too. (Today's an exception-- home alone and I don't have a damn thing else to do). So, midnight EST and on for me, generally. I leave working out what the hell that means to you. :D

Asmodieus seems to have a lot more of that "fragrance" to me, as evidenced by his instant bandwagon. I say we lynch him. (I've already voted for him at the start as a mostly random vote.)

Question: If the jester is lynched, do the mafia and the town both lose?

Yeah wow, Asmodieous, what the hell. Although I dunno whether that's scummy or just noobishness (since we are all noobs here, save Vox). I'll go check up on the way s/he plays later, I don't have time now.

Vox is the only really experienced player here, right?

And I'm pretty sure Jester wins as well as the conventional winning team, based on PMs

Yeah it looks like Asmodieus does play like this. In future, at least a one line reasoning of your actions would be greatly appreciated, even if it's just a rehashing of what someone else already said. That way we can differentiate between a mere bandwagon attempt and an actual "yeah I agree with this line of reasoning" vote.

Trumpkin, by accusing SuperTD of having a 'scumly fragrence', I'm assuming you were just random voting, yes? Or did you find he did something semi-suspicious? Because I can't see anything. Also, assuming a random vote, why the change in attitude? I am refering to
Trumpkin wrote:we just have to wait until someone is willing to make a fool of themselves to spark discussion.

And Vox, I completely know you weren't claiming to possess some weird foresight when you said you'd already voted for him, but it sorta looked that way :P

So far, Woofsie and Jebobek are sort of lurking, dunno about you guys, but I think lurking kinda ruins the game? Then again it hasn't been going for long and there might be some real world aspects we don't know about.

Here's what I've found in terms of the game layout. An existing cop can only assume a 50% chance of a doctor, and vice versa. If there is a confirmed cop or doctor, we can rule out the presence of a jester. I'm pretty new to this kind of thing, so I'm guessing these things are obvious to you guys? Is there anything else I've missed?

If the jester is lynched, the game continues as normal until either town or mafia wins. Jester is completely independant, if they are lynched they simply win in addition to whatever faction wins

When you win you will be baked, and there will be cake.

My apologies for not being around, I was out most of yesterday, and did the bar last night so here's my noonish-EST login.

Random voting, in my very short exeperience, is not effective, especially when people turn around and do an "Oh my gawd U suck!" (OMGUS) vote back against them (see: mexican standoff). You have to be really really lucky. It does make the game go really really fast, though :?

Ashbash, you're not suggesting that we're gonna try to confirm a cop or a doctor, are you? That would be bad for us to get them out in the open for the mafia to see. Really bad.

Change in attitude? What are you on about? I said that when it comes to day 1 someone purposely does something foolish in order to get the game going with full knowledge that it may result in them being lynched. By voting for SuperTD I wanted to get people talking and I did vote for him randomly in a way, he's a real life friend of mine so I figured he'd be less offended than anyone else if I voted for him.

@ Jebobek: No no no no no no no! I'm just trying to see what we can logically derive from what we know. It's nothing much anyway.

@ Trumpkin: Ah ok, I see. My mistake. I thought you meant make a fool of themselves in the same vein as 'slip up', like give off a tell. I didn't really understand how we could expect that to happen anyway. It all makes sense now :p

Then again, if he doesn't show up, we can always lynch him. Mega's game is slowly making me a fervent adherent of the "Lynch all Lurkers" strategy.

Actually, since the deadline's so soon, and a vote might force him out if he's lurking and not simply absent for reasons beyond his control, I think I'm gonna
