AGH screw you Vieto.
You are either screwing with Trumpkin majorly to make him look scummy, or Trumpkin is screwing with us masterfully with some weird power where he can make the mod announce something, which again would be you screwing with us, because you must have given him that power then.
I just proved that the mod is scum, right?

There was a very specific question which killed the bridgekeeper in the movie. It might have that same power here.

Hmmm...what question? I think we should try it then, if that's the case.

If I answer a question wrong/lie, I die. That is how I die. Happy now (Entropy I hate you, you just had to make me out and out say it didnt you)

According to the cop, Bulvox is scum.
FYI, this is the first game I've been in where that has occurred though.
Une, I think the question would be the from the script - either that or some question that forces BLM into a lie (or saying I don't know).
Spoiler:
...i'm not entirely convinced as to the sanity of Trumpkin's investigation. Its all but certain that bulvox is Tim the Enchanter (he even hinted at it in his first post of the game), and it doesn't make canonical sense that Tim is anything other than pro-town:

It seems perfectly reasonable to me that brook would be willing to help the various factions fight each other, as it would prolong his own survival. As a result, I am in favor of keeping him around for now. When we are done with him though, simply ask him "Which question, if asked, would result in your death?"

Generally, a daycop is either completely private (in which case someone PMs you to daycop and then the mod PMs back to answer), or completely public (the daycop is done in public and the answer comes back in public).

Or you can make a public-announce-private-result daycop to make yourself look scummy, or you can post strange messages in bold and then play confused to make yourself look like the mod want to frame you.

In games I have played previously, the answer has always been private, regardless of the method of requesting it. That doesn't mean its wrong here, of course.b.i.o wrote:Vieto wrote:Oh, I was supposed to make them public? Sorry, I'm still new at the mod thing.

That's like asking "What is your name?" and getting an answer back of "That by which I am called." It is not an answer, it is a description of the answer.

So we're of the consensus that Trumpkin's investigation should not be trusted? Man, I should really watch the movie...
Also, Vieto: um...I don't think you should change your policy now that you already revealed one investigation publicly. That seems a little...bad.
luke: what are you talking about? I seriously have no idea.

Actually, this one was the blooper. I've kept all other day-moves pmed. One accident shouldn't mean I should change my policy.
Re: Monty Python Mafia!: Day 2 - He must have died while carving
Une: Luke is talking about the fact that anyone can post something in bold. Like this:
Launch nuclear missile at Brooklynxman
Just the fact that is is bold makes the town think that it did something, when it very well may not have. Hence, a public daycop with private results would look the same to the town as someone fake-posting a daycop and then making up the results.

Re: Monty Python Mafia!: Night 2 - ... I got better.
The night was rather quite, though at dawn a catapult was heard in the distance, a cow was briefly seen over the tree line and then a loud 'crunch' sound was heard. This was immediately followed by a shout from Luketheduke, who professed not a cry of pain, but instead, remarked 'it's only a flesh wound'. Hence, he is still alive, with the exception of one of his arms.
Day 3!
Luketheduke is not dead, and only has a 'flesh wound' (-1 lives)

Re: Monty Python Mafia!: Day 3 - Intermisson
I would like to bring up something that I forgot about yesterday, since it was so crazy. Rakysh made a comment on Day 1 that I found extremely suspicious, and his behavior has not gotten any less so in my opinion.
The initial comment that made me suspect Rakysh of being scum. Now that I'm going back through his post history, I've found lots of other stuff that I overlooked previously, but that are very suspicious to me.
Here, Rakysh suggests keeping mafia alive instead of lynching them...In context, I guess the question kind of made sense, but it still makes me suspicious of him.
Expresses worry over possible pro-mafia roles--this seems very fake to me. Common role tell is to keep mentioning your role. Rakysh sure mentions the mafia a lot...And although Rakysh was actually right about Brook not being pro-town, I don't think this comment was necessarily for the good of the town. He probably realized that Brook could fuck over the mafia very easily, so tried to sow suspicion against someone who could hurt his team.
Overly enthusiastic about "catching all the mafioso." Another scum tell.
Suggests that the French might be a cult, although I think it's pretty obvious that the French are the mafia in this game. Again, mentioning the mafia.
Bandwagons on Brook, who was clear anti-town, but not mafia. Convenient, eh?
Again, his pissed off-ness seems forced. He seems almost gleeful that we did waste another lynch. Also, he said he had a daykill that he was going to use on Brook to see if he could be killed through regular means. But he never did use it...All in all, I think there are so many signs that Rakysh is mafia that if we don't lynch him today, town will be missing a huge opportunity.
Now, I'm going to vote Rakysh because I really really think he's mafia. But don't all just bandwagon like yesterday. I just wanted to get this out before I forget about it again.

Is this another newbie mistake? Because I'm getting major scum vibes from this. "So you might think what I just said was scummy. But it wasn't. Because I'm not scum, obviously. I'm just new! And if you don't believe me, well...you're wrong. And you should believe me. Because I'm not scum." I don't know if it was just the wording or what, but that statement seemed terribly over-defensive to me.

That role seems REALLY powerful- Can you also ask them who the other scum are if we find a scum? Because in that case, it might be worth not lynching a mafia/cultist just so we can get more info from them. Although, in that case, the scum would probably lie and take the hit for the team... maybe not so overpowered after all.
*shakes fist at the mod*
You know, maybe you could have kept that a secret, and asked mafia who wouldn't know that lying would kill them. Ah well... hindsight is 20/20.
Here, Rakysh suggests keeping mafia alive instead of lynching them...In context, I guess the question kind of made sense, but it still makes me suspicious of him.
Rakysh wrote:Ah. So looking even less powerful.
Still, that makes me worried about the interesting pro- mafia roles the mod will have cooked up
I am wondering slightly about your pro-townishness- not because of anything you said, but because I'm a cynical bastard and you being a mafia pretending to be a townie is to scary to contemplate, I recommend any townie questioned counter questions Brooklyns alignment. You'll also be a target for conversion, so yeah.
