Especially on the weekend. Lots of people lurk around the weekend. I do not remember where Vieto is, but I know that it is a 3 days weekend in Aussie as well. So keep that in mind.

The other game that I played with you, you were very good at being noticed, but not scummy. I won't let this happen again. Also trying to get a lurker lynched right away could very well be scum trying to get an easy bandwagon started.

v_o's defeatist comment about expecting the conversation to turn to her seeming scummy is a move that I see frustrated townies pull when they're about to be lynched but are up a creek without a good argument.

In such a large game with so few people voting, that seems strange to me.

Voting without much evidence D1 to stir discussion is one thing. It doesn't work when you vote for a lurker because they're lurking though. They're lurking, there's no real evidence for or against them, so people can say pretty much what they want without much fear of repercussion.

Also, lynching a lurker is a terrible idea in this game, as I said before. All tomorrow changes is allow killing abilities to work, because we have no night.

Then it would be wise to put off that change until we've exhausted every avenue of discussion that can be ferreted out on day one.

While I think lynching a lurker is a bad idea ATM, it is always interesting to see peoples reactions to a few votes. I think this is what V_O was doing, as he didn't seem especially serious when he wrote it.

How does that make you feel?

Maybe if I ask nicely... Is anybody here a smooth criminal?

Right, if your read the post closely, he just asks what we are going to talk about. He most definitely does not say let's have a quick day one. Looking closely, he is actually advocating more discussion, and although it's clearly weird and contrived, he's asking what people want to happen on day one.

I think you're right about v_o though.

Someone had commented that town had no investigative powers until day 2 - I'm not entirely sure that's true; I believe the only caveat is that no one can kill on day 1. There probably is some sort of cop-type role, but whether it's worth it to reveal now is another question entirely. Like I said, NaR was never that suspicious to begin with (only compared to everyone else's 0) and I didn't get scumvibes from v_o, but I plan on sleeping and rereading in the morning afternoon.

I think not only should an investigator not reveal himself, I don't even think anyone is quite worth an investigation. Y'know. Yet.

Yes, I think we can get more information to come out today. We especially don't want them used if they are one-shot powers. I still don't think anyone is really suspicious at the moment, but I'm glad NaR explained himself, and I no longer think he is scummy. I'm not sure why people are voting for VO, what's the reasoning?

I really despise day one, and NaR has pointed out that we have, in essence, two day ones to get through. Joy of joys.

I see that NaR's comment about the days could be read in two ways, and we were taking the more negative of the two. But we can look on the bright side -- two day ones gives us two chances to take out scum before they can strike back. So, if you're scum and reading this, please reveal yourself now, so that we can get on with lynching you.

I just had something of an epiphany concerning the orbs of distraction.

I think they are a tool to literally distract us when we are on to someone. At that point we were talking about NaR, and there are still suspicions- wrong suspicions, imo, floating around, although if this is true it puts things in a new light.

Entropy's vote was weird for a second reason, as well. He mentioned the lack of night as a bonus when either Mpolo's post was either ignoring the lack of night entirely or in agreement as to its pro-town nature. It was also one of few posts in which he refers to other people and not game mechanics or his own role. Of the two posts in which he considers others, this is the only accusing post, as he took the time to defend v_o not long before he made it.

Such a quick jump to a vote astounds me. I'm going to watch his next few posts to try to figure out whether I want to vote for him or not. As for right now, it looks like a bad mistake or a minor scumtell.

All of a sudden a giant dragon swoops out of the sky. It circles the town a few times, sends some fireballs at some flamable cottages that quickly are reduced to crisps and grabs a cow from the fields, before it again disappears into the northern mountains. The scared townspeople run around in circles, screaming and shouting and desperately trying to put out all the fires. When doing a count of remaining heads the oddly enough find that noone is missing or dead. Except for that one cow that is. Oh and that guy in the back that noone cared about, Frank, he's dead too, but the cow makes the townspeople sadder.

NaR, I agree.

If something DID happen then either we will know soon enough or should ignore it seeing as with no leads at all on it (even whether it was good or bad, well that one sounded bad) it will only distract us from the hunt.

I think I can translate that modpost succinctly as: "chop chop, little players. The day is long already, and the mafia are about."
But then, killing random pedestrians as motivation for mafia-stoppage might be something only I do, and it could be wacky wacky flavour text regarding some wacky wacky role someone just used.

Either way, doesn't seem too important right now, unless anyone notices any wacky effects.
