I can vouch for the fact that he has the power to communicate with me via direct PM and claim to be the leader of a mason group. Beyond that, I have no further evidence beyond the idea that a Neuron being a Master Mason makes a lot of sense if it's seen as a step up from Astrocytes and PMing. At the very least, he's an astrocyte who is for some reason claiming to be a mason, since he can pm people during the day.

The amount of D4 posting activity in this game has been kinda disappointing.

Hey people, have you forgotten that a lack of posting may very well kill you and those you hold dearest? I really don't want to lose anymore good cells the way we lost frogman and Dark Loink. So post! Post who you think might be scum. Post if you can't figure out who might be scum. Post who you think is likely town. Post if you can't figure out who is likely town. Post if you have any idea what interesting things Amy keeps talking about. Post if you can't figure out what those things might be. Post. Just post.

For the record, I really have no clue who might be a virus or infected cell at this point, and it is a bit frustrating.

I am believing Brook's neuron claim. Do to the alignment changing possibilities in this game I think everyone one else is fair game at this point.

I have no clue what the interesting things are. It certainly isn't anything to do with my role.

As MasterofAll said, I also have very little idea who might be infected or actually a virus. Here is my table of trust:

Sure of townliness:
myself (obviously)
Kipper (as of early day 4)
Keeneal (as of early day 3)

Pretty sure of townliness:
CF (tending to trust early day 3, some suspicion early today, but I came to the conclusion that town is by far more likely)

Leaning toward townliness:
MasterOfAll (doing more to prod the game than anyone else, helpful summaries)
Brooklynxman (half-confirmed claim)
Mister k (claim seems reasonable, and will presumably confirm itself in the next few hours)

Not sure:
Knightshire (getting very nervous about the town having kills -- this could go either way)
Flying_Cookie (not much posting action going on, but apparently following pretty closely -- immediately caught Brooklyn's error on the number of stem cells left)
Not A Raptor (has gotten pretty quiet and suspected me! just kidding)
Entropy (rather quiet, but interesting note about whether infected cells are anti-town. I fear that we're going to have to clean up all the infections before we finish, but true viruses are certainly top priority -- do we have a "doctor cell" that can clean up infections without killing them?)

Haven't posted in quite a while:
Adacore
Dromtry

I could be persuaded on Flying_Cookie, since the lurking there is not pathological, and s/he is obviously following the game, just not participating more than the minimum possible.

So, a duel between a purported mason and somebody who doesn't believe the claim. I'd hate to see that it was two townies, but right now, I just don't have much of a clue. I've got my eye on mister k, though, since he's the one I trust less.

"Keeneal, I challenge thee to a devilish duel!"
"I shall defend my honor with all of my ribosomes!"
"All of your ribosomes? HAHAA I shall bring all of my lysosomes to this challenge! Keeneal, PREPARE TO DIE!"
And so they fought, ribosomes against lysosomes. Cell against cell. Lysosomes were the obvious victor as they blew up all over Keeneal with acid and enzymes and half-digested bacteria. In the end, he could not survive such an attack.

Keeneal is dead.

I certainly read it as cell Keeneal was hosting virus Adacore. So we have had yet more success. Have we won this game yet? Either we have been incredibly lucky (and skilled, I suppose) and keep picking out needles from haystacks, or . . . maybe we have just been shooting fish in a barrel. (Maybe I am just being paranoid, but I realized it is possible that a majority of players have been infected all along (and Amy set up the game somehow to allow for such mass infection to be part of the game).)

I'd like to hear from mister k why he selected Keeneal as his dueling opponent, but I suspect it was simply due to the longevity-in-game-increasing-likeliness-of-infection theory I have mentioned a few times, and that CF keeps insisting is bad reasoning.

mister k, care to explain your thinking? Thanks.

I'm personally toying with the idea that the virii have/have had a traitor. I realized that there's medical value in virii that have been made harmless carriers for genetic material with the aim of correcting harmful mutations.

That's partially off-topic, though, and it's definitely in our best interest to pick off all virii. This may just have been a potential motivation for that duel earlier. Considering how many virii have been killed, I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that there isn't/wasn't a virus traitor somewhere.

On the other hand, the likeliness of this individual (adacore) being one (a traitor to the scum) is low.

Also, it Keeneal was infected by herpes (see 1st post) so I don't know how much being able to chat with him was going to help you.

The other thing I noticed by looking at 1st post is that Adacore was not herpes but rather swine flu! So, maybe the 2 recent events posted by Amy were not related, but Adacore died because he was unable to find an appropriate host?

Whatever caused his death, it is still one more virus successfully removed.

I don't have time to do it at the moment, but someone should try to determine if we can learn anything by now knowing Keeneal was an infected astrocyte and Adacore was H1N1.

We still need to find a lynch target for today, and unless the deadline gets pushed back, it is now less than 24 hours away.

Wow, the only town deaths have been from lack of posting, everything else has hit scum. Looks like we're down to just HV6 as well.

At this point we have 11 people left, and five roles.
Macrophage Culture
Natural Killer Cell Culture
Neuron
Cytotoxic T Cell
Myocyte
------
Herpesvirus 6

Assuming that Culture means more than one, so that means we have 8 people who are Macrophage's, NK Cells, and HV6. I had a point I was going to make, but I forgot what it was.

He, and, like a lot of people I think, I've been fairly stumped on who is scummy and who isn't. Pretty much every time I've started a post about someones scumminess in the last few days (Real Time, not Mafia days) when I go to quote stuff, I read it differently and it doesn't look scummy any more. So I've been paying attention, just haven't come up with anything to say.

On the recent Duel and such, I have no idea again. Keeneal looked a little scummy, but not much, so I wouldn't have picked him. But he turned out to be scum, so it seems that misterk is probably town. Unless it was a rather vicious bus-throwing.

Hmmm... Sir_Elderberry was infected, but it didn't indicate the source of the infection. As he is the only non-HV6-infected cell that is dead, it would appear that he was the H1N1-infected cell. This long delay seems to indicate that Adacore's death was primarily a result of not posting, and perhaps if we're lucky, not having infected anything else.

Keeneal seems to have really had no idea that he was infected. Even just before he died (after the challenge), he sent me a message saying that he had no idea what the duel was about. The last message of a dying astrocyte, as it turned out. As I was asleep IRL, I didn't get to console him before he went...

This means that the early cells are likely infected, but I'm hoping that by killing the viruses, we will be able to cure them. (If more H1N1-infected cells show up, then I will be proved -- yet again -- wrong.) Flying_Cookie has at least posted again, but all of us "town cells" need to post constructively to avoid a debacle like we had in the astrocytes earlier. We can't afford to lose a lurker together with one or more other cells!

Mister k's attack bears out his "muscle cell" claim, presumably. I know that Kipper is not a natural virus, and think that the only possible thing is for CF to also not be a natural virus. They could, of course, be infected, but killing infected cells is a waste of time if the infection agents are just replacing them in the night after we lynch them.

Adacore came in at the beginning of day 3, together with Knightshire, Brooklynxman, Flying_Cookie and MoA. I think that this speaks somewhat in favor of K, B, F_C, and MoA being non-virus cells, as it is relatively unlikely that two Herpes entered at the same time. (Were there two active Herpes at that point? That could skew this analysis -- can someone check back on MoA's handy-dandy table?)

The next batch was Entropy, mister k and myself. Of the three, only Entropy seems possible as a virus, and that only if we see that the Herpes were posting. I'm out of time, so will have to continue this ramble later.

I don't know how much we should trust that though, if I was a supporter and that happened to me, I would act like I didn't have a clue what was going on until death, all the better to mess with the town. If infected cells know they are, then I imagine that their win condition would be virus win, or maybe be alive and virus win. And if he didn't know that the duel would kill him, he would keep acting town, since he wouldn't know he was about to die. Though if infected cells don't know that they are infected, then it doesn't help us much.

Well, that went... well? Hopefully keeneal was infected. I've been suspicious of keeneal for a while, simply because I felt it likely he was infected. I also noted that he was rather quick to vote for possible sloth, who I supposed might be opposed to him. Minor things, certainly, but I was aware of the deadline and wanted to use my power before it in case I was infected over night, and also to prove I was who I said I was.

Yes, he was infected. Maybe I'm being too naive in thinking he didn't know. In any case, we need to find our last virus!

What do we think/know about Knightshire and Entropy? They are the most "silent" of the Day 3 births as far as I can see. Entropy questioned whether the infected cells are anti-town, and Knightshire was worried that additional kills would likely lead to a town bloodbath.

Dromtry has dropped pretty much off the radar as well.

Yeah, I am now thinking that I really misunderstood Amy when Adacore's death followed right after Keeneal's. I still think there is a small possibility that the 2 deaths are related, but now think it is more likely that they were unconnected. I already pointed out that Keeneal was infected with HHV6 while Adacore was H1N1. And, Adacore certainly hadn't posted much lately, so the flavor about his death could just be flavor, and not related to game mechanics.

Anyway, we need to figure out someone to lynch, and unless Amy gives us more time, it needs to be done in less than 11 hours.

I'm here, just having some difficulty coming up with an original contribution. I do think there is something to be said for the theory that there is a virus among mpolo, mister-k, and myself. Since mpolo was the one to bring that conclusion to light, it makes him being the virus very WIFOM. However, I don't think it could be mister-k. It might make the most sense to just lynch the lot of us to be certain. :-/

With a deadline approaching, I'll go for lynch-the-lurker, I suppose. I hate doing this, especially when the mod is taking care of lurkers, but in the absence of consensus on another target, it beats having a random lynch.

Haven't we already determined that is a really silly question to ask? Or is dromtry implying that he has a lie detector?

hmm only shows up when someone notices he's missing, and doesn't really say anything, or at least less than most people. Very much so a wasted day here.
