I've had good success with my hunches earlier in the game...this probably won't change anything though.

Am I just confused, or was most recent deadline that Amy mentioned supposed to be last night?

So, now that it is the next morning, I am not really believing the NK cell claim that Entropy made, since I just really don't think there are that many of a type of cell that didn't even exist at the start of the game, and mpolo's and Dromtry's claims (or non-claims due to restriction, but I am pretty sure that I am interpreting the between-the-lines correctly) seem a lot more likely (as they go hand in hand nicely).

Still, if Entropy does get lynched and ends up being an NK cell, we will need to take a closer look at those other 2 claimed NK cells, as I suppose it is possible that they are anti-town players who invented their own public action to seem pro-town.

Entropy's claim essentially means that killing him is the right thing to do, but it has to be now, otherwise the next time he isn't trusted, the viruses aren't going to vote for him. Which means that hammering would be quite a pro-town thing to do here... Although I suppose anyone that unvotes is going to be tagging themselves "virus".

As to MoA's speculations I can only point out that I used my power publicly twice before Dromtry did, and it was apparently so subtle that only I noticed that he used the same wording as I had. Of course, it's possible that he picked up on what I did and mimicked it to get me to unvote. Also note that I was at the beginning of a bandwagon that looked likely to lead to Dromtry's death.

The cells, all confused with no where to run except in circles around in their petri dishes, decided to lynch someone. But then, last minute, everyone said, "No, entropy! He must be the bad infection! We must be rid of this scumbag!" and lynched him. Well, except, it's hard to make a noose tiny enough for a cell. So, instead, they kicked him outside the petri dish where he quickly died on the countertop exposed to the elements.

Entropy is dead.

Sigh, I accidentally read a spoiler for this because I have no brain, apparently (according to me, stargate spoilers and cell culture spoilers are the same thing!). I looked away relatively rapdily, but I suspect I should be replaced regardless.

The spoiler mister k clicked on by accident was an old one of mine for this game, at this point, the contents of which are known to everyone even, so it is not a spoiler anymore and he knows nothing that everyone else doesn't already know so he is staying in this game.

If anyone walked in on me taking a shower, I'd punch their lights out. Well, ok, maybe not anyone. There is a really cute boy who keeps following me around. I know I know, I have a boyfriend now I shouldn't talk like this, but I can't help myself. He's so adorable. Dark hair, black, actually, bit of a curl to it (Oh me yarm adorable). He also loves to cuddle and snuggle. How much better can it get than that? And he does follow me into the shower sometimes, and I don't mind it one bit. Misty is so cute. ^.^

A group of cells got together and chatted a bit. Yay town! But some evil was also at work and all of a sudden two cells arrested in G0 and wouldn't go into the S phase at all. They were dead. Poor cells. There was clearly Bad Things (tm) at work still in the lab. This game of life and death isn't over yet!

mpolo is dead, he was a NK cell
brooklynxman is dead, he was a neuron

Day 5 starts now.

Re: [normal] CELL CULTURE: Day 5 - Bring the Bleach

Postby Flying_Cookie » Sun Nov 15, 2009 10:18 pm UTC

Does anyone know what the G0 and S phase stuff means?
Now we have
1. Knightshire - Unclaimed (I think)
2. CF - Macrophage
3. Kipper - I made a post earlier which shows my reasoning for Kipper being an NK Cell
4. Flying_Cookie - Unclaimed
5. MOA - Unclaimed
6. Mister K - Myocyte
7. NAR - Unclaimed
8. Dromtry - NK Cell
and roles
Macrophage Culture
Natural Killer Cell Culture
Cytotoxic T Cell
Myocyte
------
Herpesvirus 6
Due to the only counter claim being scum, we know that Drom is an NK Cell, and by process of elimination Kipper must be one as well, so there should be no more NK Cells
CF proved his Macrophageness day 2
Mister K proved his Myocyteness with the duel
So the roles we have left are
Cytotoxic T Cell, Some Macrophages, and HV6, and the players left are Knightshire, Me, MOA, and NAR.
At this point, theres one Cytotoxic T Cell, and Either One more Macrophage and Two HV6, or Two Macrophages and One HV6.
At this point, I think it would probably be simplest to have the remaining people claim. We can probably use support from people if they found out who they spawned/spawned from. So once we get some counter-claiming, we can find the virus. This method ignores Infecteds, but it looks like that might just mean that they die in a few rounds. What does everyone else think about this?

Re: [normal] CELL CULTURE: Day 5 - Bring the Bleach

Postby MasterOfAll » Sun Nov 15, 2009 11:48 pm UTC

Sure, I am willing to claim at this point. The reason that I was kinda surprised by all the recent NK cell claims is because *I* am an NK cell. I was given the ability to speak with 3 macrophages (although 1 of them still doesn't seem to believe it was alright to PM with me, even though we were CC'ing Amy and when asked after my first message to them she confirmed that it was kosher), so I know the roles of a couple players that is not yet general information. I could tell you who those 3 players are, but I am quite hesitant to roleclaim for other players.

So, if you didn't read the 1st post to find out about Entropy, he was indeed herpesvirus and not an NK cell. So, while I was publicly questioning mpolo and Dromtry quite a bit, the players I PM'd at night can tell you that I was pretty much 99.9% sure that they were actually telling the truth about being NK cells. mpolo's death was unfortunate but at least it makes me now 99.999% sure Dromtry was telling the truth.

Really, for me it comes down to 2 players today. I am curious to see who is willing to claim and what they claim, so I don't want to put any more of my thoughts out there, but I really think that there is only one player left who is a virus and that there are only 2 players it could be, unless there is a player who was actually converted into a virus (which was stated as possible way back in the 1st post), in which case we will have to put in a little bit more effort to hunt such a player down.

Frankly, I really like our chances of winning at this point, and am looking forward to wrapping this game up. With the town power roles that I know are out there, I really, really like our chances.

FC, you have either guessed correctly, or are telling the truth. Also, from where you are standing, I can see why Knightshire is still a possibility, but CF and I do have some info others do not have, as mentioned earlier.

Hey NAR, infected any cells lately? 'Cause it would be kinda nice if you just told us, and then Dromtry could double check if that player is indeed infected, and this would help us wrap up the game with minimal hassle. Don't want to make it easy for us? Fine, but don't think you have any chance of winning at this point, you little herpesvirus, you.

I would vote for NAR, but think it might be better to use mister k's myocyte dueling power on him, and then we can try to find infected cell if getting rid of the last virus does not immediately end this game.

Zombie Frogman is incredibly sad that Amy has decided to leave and hopes that we might change her mind. Regular Frogman is of that opinion as well. So is that one account I made for an alternate game (something about a squire).
