My thoughts:

Pez is alarmingly taciturn. He's also new. I have this horrible feeling that he's trying to convince us that he is a power role, and that he may have painted a big target on himself. Either that, or he's mafia.

Sir_Elderberry is unconcious, so CAN'T provide content in his posting. So we can hardly fault him for it, at least since he got hit by the sattelite.

Entropy hasn't given us much except for the fish, but he is being reasonable about what it would take to prove his point. (I.e., to be 100% sure that he's not hiding behind some sort of reduced-value votes, the first two voters would have to vote for someone else to prove that they have a full vote.) Which a mafioso probably wouldn't be overly worried about.

Andymeo hasn't posted much, but has promised more. Hopefully that comes soon.

Jar 'o' Jam tends to be a bit confusing and contentless (as mentioned by Dr Ug).

Mister k hasn't really stood out to me at all. I don't have time to check back at the moment whether I agree with ThinkSweet's conclusion.

ThinkSweet has also not really stood out.

Dr Ug has been very active, although he hasn't had a lot to go on. (I suppose I'm part of the problem here. I really am trying to be active, but the Day 1 doldrums hit me very hard in this game.)

Dark Loink has finally reappeared. And he posted some analysis. He's playing with the "bold" function a little, but at least here, I can successfully read the bolds as emphasis. Somewhere else recently, his bolds confused me to no end and I thought he was trying to hide secret information through them. That doesn't seem to be the case here.

This leaves me most happy with a Pez lynch, but I'm willing to give him a day or so since he's new. I'm going to go with Dr Ug for now and

Vote: Jar'O'Jam

unless we get a good defence from him.

'cause its time for a vote, and you've pinged me the most. I'm not entirely happy about this- I'm still kind of willing to believe these are all newbish mistakes, but meh.

In the time that you have been voting, somebody has turned the kitchen up to 11 and cooked a feast for mpolo! Do you wish to eat, mpolo?

A laptop has been made, but it's missing a few parts. Could use some repairs...

Votals:

1 Entropy - Dark Loink, Pez Dispens3r
2 Jar'O'Jam - Dr Ug, mpolo
1 Pez Dispens3r - misterk

6 votes to lynch.

Right...

So, you want everyone else to what, "trust you"?

as OMGUSy as it is, I find this very suspicious, almost enough to switch my vote. Can I ask if you'll reveal your reasons, even if I'm not lynched?

I also thought this when I saw it, but it just seems so overtly scummy that there must be something more to it. I'm willing to wait until day 2 to see what his reasoning is, as maybe there is a strange mechanic to do with his vote. If not, and he's just screwing around, that makes him look very scummy indeed, and we can consider lynching him tomorrow.

Well he was close to the top of my list anyway for not posting anthing contentful or helpful, and it's near the deadline so I thought I'd vote for someone. I doubt he'll get lynched cos of the fish thing, but it's day one & I've voted people for less suspicious things on day 1 - there just isnt enough information yet.

Mpolo eats his mystery feast. With a complete assortment of foods, all of Mpolo's daily nutrients have been acquired. He looks a little buffer...

As we are currently in a three-way tie, I would like to inform you that if there is a tie at the deadline, I will randomize a lynch... of the nonvoters. (Not really, but it'll tick me off... and you don't want to be playing a game with an angry mod.)

Ok, in order to split up the tie, I'm going to

Unvote: Jar'O'Jam

as he is probably playing the way he always does (which is confusing and scummy) and switch to Pez. He is new, but man he was acting scummy.

Vote: Pez

I want to see what the potential mechanics behind Entropy's vote on me are, so I would prefer not to lynch him yet.

But, he was also the most suspicious to me, even before he said that. I was giving him slack for it being his first game and all...

O.K. In the interest of saving random.org from the work of selecting a lynchee,

4 Pez Dispens3r - misterk, Jar'O'Jam, Dr Ug, mpolo
1 Dr Ug - Entropy

6 votes to lynch.

While mpolo works out and the sun sets, an argument breaks out. While nobody has a majority vote, there couldn't possibly not be a lynch tonight. It is simply infeasible. Four people slip off while the argument rages, and lynch Pez Dispens3r when nobody's looking! When the rest of the house found out, they shrugged and agreed that he had the most votes and it was the fairest thing that could have been done. The time taken to reach that accord could have been used to find out his alignment, but somebody's energy bar is running way low, and everybody decides to look at it in the morning. The giant plumbbob is still melting, and it can now be seen that there is an object within...

Pez Dispens3r has been lynched. It is now night one. People with night actions should get them in before Monday at 4:00P.M. EST.

Postby Not A Raptor » Mon Apr 05, 2010 8:58 pm UTC

The sun comes up, do do do doooo... The people of the house wake up... all of them except one. Dr Ug was brutally slaughtered in the night by the mafia and was hung on the edge of the roof by his underwear. Everybody gathers near his body, about to investigate his alignment when his very ghost appears and divulges his role information!

"I WAS JUST THIS CULINARY TOWNIE WHO ONLY WANTED TO COOK STUFF FOR PEOPLE. I MADE PEOPLE'S VOTES COUNT DOUBLE. WOOOOOOOOOOO"

His ghost wandered off to cause trouble in the backyard. He can't say much as there are protocols against ghosts interfering in the day to day problems of the living. (Namely, my rules)

But, not all is bad. The plumbbob has finished melting and revealed... a baby cookie? Wait, it's a Flying_Cookie! With a new baby in the house, things may get a bit exciting around here!

In other news, Jar'O'Jam got into a gardening competition with DarkLoink. Jar'O'Jam's flower bed is exquisite. DarkLoink is being thrashed about by his giant venus flytrap. He gets out okay, though... The ghost of Dr Ug tore up both the flytrap and the flower bed.

It is now day two. Remember your powers. I will avoid setting a deadline unless the game is moving slowly. The deadline can be suspended by interesting developments in the game, should a deadline be set.

Hey, Audry Two! Stop biting the hand that feeds you! Thanks for saving me though, Dr, although i don't know if this has to do with the night or not.

Well, we lost a player...and gained a player. So its interesting, anyway. Day two, and already we've got parents in this game. Very interesting.
I'm, agaain, not sure what the whole garden contest thing was. I think someone needs to make us a fridge, since i don't know if we have one. Or a phone, to order food, if we are that lazy. But i realized i never chose to sleep, and i must be mighty tired. So,

I hope that cookies mature quickly, because that's going to get tedious to translate once the "cute factor" wears off. (Welcome, Flying_Coocoocoo, who's a good boy?)

We apparently lost a doctor to the lynch, which is pretty bad. Dr Ug was apparently my anonymous benefactor who made the feast, so I am personally a little miffed that the scum decided to take him out... (Not that the double vote went to any good use...) On the other hand, the night kill was replaced with new blood (of presumably indeterminate alignment).

I think this means that most likely, we started with 8-2 or 7-3... so the lynch brought us to 7-2 or 6-3, and the night kill and birth mean that we are either still 7-2 or 6-3 (F_C town) or we are 6-3 or 5-3 (F_C scum). Since 5-3 is LyLO, we can presumably discard that last possibility.

From a game balance point of view, if we started with 2 scum, it's at least possible that Flying_Cookie is also scum. If we started with 3, it's more likely that our little baby is town. (Or maybe the baby still has to pick a profession. Anything is possible, I suppose.)

Votes on Pez came from all over really, including myself  . Only Entropy had a vote on Dr Ug.

Argh, frustration. I think we can agree that sadly pez did not act particularly townish, which no doubt helped scum lynch- but with no other candidates they could even have abstained. I always look askew at those who abstain from voting, because its the easiest way for scum to hide- voting means you put your money where your mouth is.

For now though, I'd like to hear Entropy's promised explanation.

The television, left on Not A Channel, flips to a special news bulletin.

"We interrupt our regular broadcast for a special news bulletin. Strange happenings were reported last night in a quiet neighborhood in SimCity. Neighbors report that a mysterious Sim was outside of his house late last night, trying to climb through a window. Observers identified the nighttime wall-climber as misterk. It is unknown whether he had simply locked himself out or had some other purpose for his nighttime activities. Local sanitation experts point to the two bodies found in the trash this morning as a possible sign that foul play had occurred in the night in this house.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming."

The reporter with a gaudy hat and bushy mustache faded from the screen and returned to my annoying actions.

This is interesting, but it seems too much of a set-up to me. There happens to be a newscast, which happens to incriminate someone with what just so happens to be the amount of people dead so far. I don't think this is enough for a lynch yet, at least in my opinion.
Will try to think more of this.

Also, I'm not writing off the television report just yet. Maybe misterk could prove his claim of being able to reproduce such text? Just for the sake of SCIENCE!

My vote was controlled on day 1, and I was not allowed to publicly reveal that this was the case until day 2 (I'm actually kinda lucky NaR let me get away with publicly saying as much as I did). Since he was subsequently NK'd I am operating under the assumption that my vote was controlled specifically so that suspicion could be cast on me today.

If this is all true, there seems to be an awful lot of mafia activity going on in the night, and thus we have a rather powerful mafia. The misterk report doesn't actually say that he did anything in particular -- maybe it's some sort of tracker saying that he had a night action. Then we just would have to figure out which action that might have been. (For what it's worth, this wouldn't exclude cop or something else of the type.)

Before I forget and explode:

Take: shower
Use: toilet

I unfortunately only have a couple minutes now. I will be back later.

Jar'O'Jam takes a shower and begins to sing!

"Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide
No escape from reality
Open your eyes
Look up to the skies and see
I'm just a poor boy (Poor boy)
I need no sympathy
Because I'm easy come, easy go
Little high, little low
Any way the wind blows
Doesn't really matter to me, to me

Mama just killed a man
Put a gun against his head
Pulled my trigger, now he's dead
Mama, life has just begun
But now I've gone and thrown it all away
Mama, ooh
Didn't mean to make you cry
If I'm not back again this time tomorrow
Carry on, carry on as if nothing really matters

Too late, my time has come
Sends shivers down my spine
Body's aching all the time
Goodbye, everybody
I've got to go
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth
Mama, oooooooh (Anyway the wind blows)
I don't want to die
Sometimes wish I'd never been born at all

[Air Guitar Solo]

I see a little silhouetto of a man
Scaramouch, Scaramouch, will you do the Fandango
Thunderbolt and lightning, very, very frightening me
(Galileo) Galileo (Galileo) Galileo, Galileo Figaro
Magnifico-o-o-o-o
I'm just a poor boy nobody loves me
He's just a poor boy from a poor family
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

Easy come, easy go, will you let me go?
Bismillah! No, we will not let you go
Let him go
Bismillah! We will not let you go
Let him go
Bismillah! We will not let you go
Let me go (Will not let you go)
Let me go (Will not let you go) (Never, never, never, never)
Let me go, o, o, o, o
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
(Oh mama mia, mama mia) Mama Mia, let me go
Beelzebub has the devil put aside for me, for me, for me!

So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye
So you think you can love me and leave me to die
Oh, baby, can't do this to me, baby
Just gotta get out, just gotta get right outta here

[Air Guitar Solo]
(Oooh yeah, Oooh yeah)

Nothing really matters
Anyone can see
Nothing really matters
Nothing really matters to me

Any way the wind blows..."

He then uses the toilet. Screw sanitation, I'll do my bathroom activities in any order I want!

There is now a cup of coffee sitting on the table.

Mpolo takes a shower and decides that he'd like to sing!

"I remember when, I remember
I remember when I lost my mind
There was something so pleasant about that place
Even your emotions have an echo in so much space

And when you're out there without care
Yeah, I was out of touch
But it wasn't because I didn't know enough
I just knew too much

Does that make me crazy?
Does that make me crazy?
Does that make me crazy?
Possibly

And I hope that you are
Having the time of your life
But think twice
That's my only advice

Come on now, who do you
Who do you, who do you, who do you think you are?
Ha ha ha, bless your soul
You really think you're in control?

Well, I think you're crazy
I think you're crazy
I think you're crazy
Just like me

My heroes had the heart
To lose their lives out on a limb
And all I remember
Is thinking, I want to be like them

Ever since I was little
Ever since I was little
It looked like fun
And it's no coincidence I've come
And I can die when I'm done

But maybe I'm crazy
Maybe you're crazy
Maybe we're crazy
Probably"

He then also goes to use the toilet out of the logical order of actions. Refreshing, yes. Clean? Hell no.

The television then flips back to the news.

"We interrupt our regular broadcast for a special news bulletin. No Strange happenings were reported last night in a quiet neighborhood in SimCity. Neighbors did not report that a mysterious Sim was outside of his house late last night, trying to climb through a window. Observers identified the nighttime wall-climber was NOT misterk. It is unknown whether he had simply locked himself out or had some other purpose for his nighttime activities. Local sanitation experts point to the two bodies found in the trash this morning as a possible sign that foul play had occurred in the night in this house.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming."

Our mustachioed reporter then fades from the screen as before and the television flips to an image of me reading this pos... Really? Get that camera out of my face! Cut! CUT!
