I guess it depends on your assumptions about the number of NKs and who controls them. (In a 2/6 scenario where there are 2 NKs, NL seems like a poor choice because we could end up with 2/4 --> problem.)

You seem to have overlooked the recent discussion. What are your thoughts on a massclaim?

Yeah, you know what, I'm not waiting for the entire squad of "I conveniently don't have an opinion and/or just ignored this urgent decision entirely" people. FYI: you're not helping.

So let's claim. If you don't, I might just kill you.

....because hey, I got a one-shot vig kill when my buddy Queenan died. I also have a bunch of cop results (anyone thought PE and me didn't really give strong reasons for our votes on Weeks? Well, yeah...) and I know what some of you are. So I dare you to fucking falseclaim.

No claim == scum, in my book. I don't care about your precious independent win conditions or whatever you've got going on. Queenan just died and I'm hella pissed off so WE'RE MASSCLAIMING KTHXBAI.

Except that they were an independent lyncher (iirc?) and that is quite different from a townie mason cop.

Also, this isn't an argument for not lynching me. It'd be pretty stupid to lynch me, of course, but the argument was "you should claim or imma kill you".

Looks like I'll need a whole lot of NKs tonight. ;P

I'm Trooper Black, (vanilla) townie.

Right now I suspect Chandani and VectorZero. More VZ, mainly because (he?) completely ignored the claim suggestion. Also, I could be assessed from wooy`s actions, although I'll try some analysis anyway.

Trooper Brown. Didn't claim before while Dignam was still in hiding to avoid narrowing targets for scum. So either we've got FAOT and Chandani as Sullivan/Costello, or dotproduct is lying about being trooper black (I have no reason to disbelieve Mav nor cj at this point) and FAOT or Chandani is Madden.

Obviously, someone is lying at this point. I have no idea who.

So I guess that leaves Madden as FAOT?

Right, that helps.

Trooper Brown has not been counter-claimed (and since he's the original, kind of has to be in the game), so VectorZero is clear, unless ForAllOfThis counter-claims Trooper Brown (which would leave us without Madden). I think we all believe cjdrum is Trooper Green what with his D1 confusion stuff.

That makes two extra vanilla townies (Green and White), out of three 'extra' roles (the game was expanded from 11 to 14 players, right?).

If you have a balanced game with 11 players, there is no way you just add three vanilla townies and it's still balanced. So both Chandani and dotproduct have to be lying.

I suggest we lynch dotproduct and I kill Chandani tonight.

Vote: dotproduct
(please make sure to give FAOT time to claim before the day is over, it's always possible that we missed something, et cetera)

May I request you vote for Chandani instead?

I've done some thinking and I think it's better if we do it that way around. My one-shot kill had a specific thing which leads me to believe it's safer to use it on dotproduct.

I guess it doesn't matter very much. It's just that I had a cop result on Chandani (scum) and I figured the lynch was a surer way to kill her... but it seems extremely unlikely that there's a scum doctor or something, so this is fine.

I do think dotproduct is scum as well, based on the claims.

(By the way, I still have that cop as well as the kill, so if you're an actual doctor...
and if you aren't, do you have any powers that we could use that you could talk about without endangering stuff? if not, don't talk about it ofc :P )

It is now Night Four. Please be extremely prompt. I'd like this night to last absolutely no longer than 24 hours.

He read the report again. Finally, he threw it aside. He'd had enough of this dicking around. It was time to end it.

As he walked out of the room, the corner's report sat there on the desk, the top page fluttering in the breeze from the open window. On top was a photo of the subject, along with all pertinent biographical data, including the identity of last night's shooting. It was clear who had paid the price in the line of duty last night; Trooper Black.

dotproduct is dead. He was Trooper Black, vanilla town.

He could feel eyes watching him for a distance. He was used to it though. Growing up in Southie, he was used to the feeling. Little did he know though, that this night, his diminished sense of caution would be his undoing. He had after all taken care of Queenen, and with Costigan out of the way, he was sitting pretty safe. He just had to get rid of Dignam now and everything would be smooth sailing.

As he turned the corner, the last sight he saw in this world was Dignam standing in front of him with a pistol in his face.

Chandani is dead. She was Colin Sullivan, Mafia Supporter.

Day Five has started. This day will last 36 hours from this post.

4 alive, 3 to lynch, possible MYLO.

Ok, so, we've got Mav confirmed as Dignam by flavor and lack of counterclaim. No scum kill last night; flavor suggests Chandani was targeting Dignam but Dignam got in first... Not sure whether that's how the game plays. More likely to be doctored. Hmm.

Possibilities (from my POV) are FAOT is scum and withheld the kill to make it look like he's the doctor, or cjdrum's lied all along. That seems unlikely, given he alluded to it in his first post. I'm strongly leaning FAOT.

Any cop results, Mav?

Also, we're now probably 1 in 4. Unless Mav's got another NK, we should NL.

FoS: VectorZero

You should think before you post. There's only one person left who could be scum, you. The only other possibility is Cj had some inside knowledge of the game, which I don't quite believe. I protected you last night Mav. I'm not going to place a vote until Mav replies with her cop, incase cj has been playing us, but it seems unlikely.

Well, I know I'm not, but I can only provide an analysis from my POV. I can't discount the possibility that you are scum, falseclaiming doctor, and pretended to doctor Mav last night. It's the best option for you to do actually, since we were talking about you being scum buddies with Chandani if dotproduct was confirmed as Trooper Black. If the NK went through, you'd be being lynched now.

Let's just run through the claims. Mav=Dignam. If shes lying, then either Dignam isn't in the game or someone else is lying too. Cjdum=Trooper Green. If he's lying, then he somehow predicted early in the game that there were multiple Troopers. VZ=Trooper Brown. If I'm lying then the canon trooper is not in the game. FAOT=Madden. If you're lying, then you withheld the night kill. That seems the simplest explanation.

It can't be anybody but VZ or FAOT.

Scum wouldn't kill their own with only two left, even if it raised suspicion and confusion.
Mav has to have the NK (no one counter claimed, and there was a non-scum-based kill), I am Trooper Green.

There practically has to be a doctor; at a 1:3 scum:town ratio, it'd be stupid for scum to just not kill.
I don't see VZ counterclaiming doctor - only saying that FAOT isn't.

Also:
VectorZero wrote:Let's just run through the claims. Mav=Dignam. If shes lying, then either Dignam isn't in the game or someone else is lying too.
If she is not Dignam, how would she know about Town gaining another NK? She is definitely Dignam.
VectorZero wrote:Cjdum=Trooper Green. If he's lying, then he somehow predicted early in the game that there were multiple Troopers.
Exactly. How do you expect I would just know?
VectorZero wrote:VZ=Trooper Brown. If I'm lying then the canon trooper is not in the game. Also, I would have to be scum.
If you aren't the doctor, then you must be scum. Or, FAoT is extremely stupid scum, which I doubt is the case. Also, see the italicized bit for what you seemingly neglected to say.
VectorZero wrote:FAOT=Madden. If you're lying, then you withheld the night kill. That seems the simplest explanation.
It is the simplest explanation - if he is scum. If he isn't, then he protected the scum kill. Even more simple than your explanation.

I will also wait for some info from Mav before placing my vote on VectorZero, but he currently seems to be neglecting simple facts to twist the facts to his argument - which leads him to being the most scummy candidate.

Why must there be a doctor? You shouldn't dismiss it out of hand, we know one of Madden/Brown/Green/Dignam must be not in the game.

As to scum not killing at 3:1, I've already explained this. If there had been a kill to take it to 2:1, FAOT would be the top candidate for the lynch today. Plus, he waited until last to claim; he was safe to false claim doctor then go "Ta-Dah! No NK!"

As to not counterclaiming doctor...WTF? I've already told you who I am.

As to neglecting simple facts, which, precisely? No, i haven't made an argument for myself to be scum. I know I'm not and anything i did would be winey anyway.

He was old. He didn't relish the idea of starting over. His whole crew had been wiped out, and only he remained now. Retirement... that's what he was being forced into now. As he poured himself a drink and went into his room to relax, a shadowy figure stood silhouetted against the window. The figure was wearing what appeared to be hospital scrubs and had a silenced pistol leveled at him.

"Ah fuck." Were Costello's last words, as Dignam pulled the trigger and shot him.

VectorZero was Costello, godfather (not cop immune though) of the mafia, with an evidence planter power that would make cops return as if paranoid.

As the sunset, Dignam walked out, forever changed by his brief existence as a vigilante.

Mavketl was Dignam, Cop Mason. Bastardly Secret: If Queenen died before Dignam, she earned a one-shot Vig kill, if she hit Sullivan, she got to keep the kill permanently.

Elsewhere, Dr. Madolyn Madden sat rocking back and forth in a chair, clearly pregnant with either Billy or Colin's child, but either way, it would grow up without a father.

FAOT was Dr. Madolyn Madden, town doctor.

Finally, somewhere out there was some nameless trooper that no one really knew about.

cjdrum was Trooper Green, vanilla town.

We declare this a mod win as well, since without any interference, Dignam and Madden, the only two story characters left alive at the end, were also the only two left alive at the end of the movie as well! Neato, huh?

Role PMs and Night Actions:

Spoiler:
Role: Billy Costigan
Alignment: Town
Details: You are a state trooper working undercover in Costello's mob.
Abilities: At night, you can night chat directly with Captain Oliver Queenan (PhoenixEnigma) via SMS messages. Unfortunately, this limits you to 140 characters per message and also runs the risk of the message being discovered by someone other than Queenan. Should Queenan die, Dignam will be able to send these messages on his behalf. You also know the identity of Dr. Madolyn Madden (ForAllOfThis)
Win Condition: Half win if town wins and you survive til the end of the game. Half-win if Dr Madolyn Madden survives til the end of the game. Extra bonus full win (Double Win) if both of the above conditions are met.

Role: Dr. Madolyn Madden
Alignment: Town
Details: You are an occupational psychiatrist and ‘girlfriend’ to both Billy Costigan and Colin Sullivan.
Abilities: You are a doctor. You are able to protect one person each night. You may not self-protect.
Win Condition: Elimination of the mafia.

Role: Trooper Green
Alignment: Town

Night 4 actions:

Costello plants evidence on FAOT
Cop cops Costello (Scum)
Costello fails to kill Dignam
Dignam kills Sullivan

Town full wins. Sullivan and Costigan half-win for Madden surviving til the end.

You may of noticed, but there was no listening roles. The SMS messages being intercepted was another small piece of bastardry. It was meant to keep with the feeling of danger when communicating with their real bosses.

The three roles added to allow for additional sign ups were Sean Costigan, the Providence Gangster, and Fitzy Fitzgibbons.

Overall, the setup only had a few power roles in it, and had quite a bit vanilla or mostly vanilla roles. It was interesting to see all the speculation of what all could be in the game knowing that. The loss of French early on really hurt the mafia, though it is funny to note that Costello evidence planted a cop twice, and Madden doctored Costello twice.

He never existed. We couldn't find enough legitimate town troopers with names to fill in the three vanilla we wanted, so we went with all generic names and excluded him, as he'd make a decent false claim down the road.
