Disliked your Reactions Vote more than anything. Calmed down after counting it as a utility vote. Accepted your role claim questions. Claimed improbable events. Made sense to hunt for a contradiction.

Wanted to vote for Gojoe or matt96 also. Agreed with that (before the recruitment).

Spoiler:
If Lataro manages to kill me tonight, at least I will be able to read the spoilers and find out what everyone else had been thinking/doing this whole time, and it will be a short final day, so we can discuss things openly post-game, and figure out who was first to figure out Angua was scum (I am not going to count CF because CF was just trying to get lynched) which I believe might have been me (feel free to disagree with this post-game) and in general learn just how much of Lataro's claim was true (the least discernable part of the game for any who are not reading the spoilers) at least I made it to day 6, not bad for my first game (and it didn't hurt that my power had a practical use helping me avoid getting lynched, practically the only use for it in the first place)

Going to try and respond to as many people as I can... Don't read if in-game.
Spoiler:
@MN: Having been there, I fully understand (zombie apocalypse). GoP was 99% confirmed, but I'd still rather speak in hypotheticals to make sure I didn't mess up by killing the wrong one.. It's not 100% confirmed, at least.
@BF: All the wrong people got lynched first.. All powers designed to do something are pretty much dead. I had thought of stuff, but it didn't work out the way I intended.. For which, my apologies.

Oh.. not much people to respond to after all u.u

That's totally understandable. I think underworld could have ended badly as well depending on the order of deaths. I think this is one of those, "I made this mistake so I'm pointing it out in others" type of things.

Woopate would have killed you because we both believed the benefactor thing. Therefore, tonight will be a coinflip between lataro and woopate I'd imagine, but then town will still win.

Spoiler:
Well. If I managed to block Lataro it's matt as kingmaker. If I didn't, it's me and lataro, and my last chance to win is guessing his type. Not psychic or rock. Pressure's on.

EDIT
Spoiler:
OR matt could induce a no lynch by not voting and hope lataro and I take each other out.

Spoiler:
game is over when matt96 posts.

Whatever the outcome, getting as far as I did with my story, I consider this game a win to have gotten it down to a 50/50 after how screwed I was 5 game days ago.

edit: woopate, your posts in game thread just now are just plain stupid. You did nothing to earn your win, all you did was lurk, and then make the logical argument that if you died, I'd win for sure when town thought they had a chance still. Saying you deserve it is laughable at best.

In light of this game, I've been rewatching the series. And I notice that Ash has 6 badges, and earned, like, maybe 2 through legitimate battle. No wonder Gary Oak and the 3 other pallet trainers dislike him.

This round of mafia inspired me to play the game for the first time in like 15 years. Now I get the Gary Oak pun.

Pokèmon is absolutely full of stuff like that. If ever you want an "hours of fascinated clicking" session, go to bulbapedia and pull up their "on the origin of the species" articles. It talks about the puns, animals, recent scientific discoveries, shinto myths, western myths, et cetera that inspire each pokèmon.

Of course I know that. There was no way in hell Matt was going to give it to me, after you pulled through 5 DAYS of being confirmed sk. But I wasn't about to stop fighting so I turned my stupid filter off and spewed every argument that came to mind.

EDIT as a more worthwhile use of this post, how do I make posts more contentful? It may be that since I've only played scum roles I don't know what my brain would do as town(to underworld players, sorry, I was town, and I tried but after a thorough reading and being completely lost, I lost motivation to post, and I really have no clue why I didn't request a replacement). But I tried my damndest to frame my mind as a townie, and post what came to mind, usually spec (I loves me some pokèmon), but no dice. In Zombie Apocalypse, I went for infodump, posting raw data I thought was useful, but similar talks of contentless posts were had near the end there too. Tips?

You could have argued in favour of a no lynch... Would be "fairest" and you'd win.

When your actually town, your goal is to figure out who is scum so do that. Post a list of each player and say why you think they are scum or town. If you come up with all neutrals then be more critical of subtle things. That should work for generating content on any day besides early D1.

If your scum do the same thing while trying to ignore that you know who is actually scum. Review and subtlety manipulate the results so you don't talk yourself in a corner and have to vote a scum-buddy. That definitely does not mean you can't call real scum scummy, just be careful about it. Of course any advice on how to play scum is instantaneously out of date once it's publicly posted because now experienced players will watch out for people doing what I suggested.

to underworld players, sorry,
Considering your good attitude about it, you're welcome back to any games I run in the future. :)

Isn't that basically what Angua did?

I stopped paying attention by the time Angua got lynched so I'm not sure why she was. However, I was just giving general advice on how to produce content. Obviously you can't get away with only what I said, but it's a good start. Your playing with real, and justifiably paranoid, people. Nothing is going to work reliably.
