Random selection. Hypothetical example: if wam has the most votes, and 3 other players tie for second, then 1 of those 3 players will be chosen at random to face wam in the pit.UniqueScreenname wrote:What happens if there is a three-or-more-way tie?

can the tiebreaker ability win in a tie like that?

Hang on this is what I did. I admit I did argue it for longer but when the flaw was pointed out I realised it and admitted it. But apparently Alek has a free ride....

but seriously, do people think we should claim first, before we go and one of us dies?

We should definitely think twice about pitting Wam again, as the result proves that he wasn't wearing one particular set of armor (I won't say which one, just to make scum work to figure it out). An incriminating cop result on him would probably be worth the claim, though.
I'm not really sure how we can extrapolate anything about wam's armour given that they were both using swords. Also, as wam will have been in the pit before, unless it's the tiebreaker in the pit with them, they will win in the event of another tie.UniqueScreenname wrote:Huh, interesting. Carry on.
As far as wam reentering, it might be better since then the other person has a better idea of how to attack him, assuming that he's scum of course.

Angua wrote:I'm confused - are you for, or against, pitting wam again?
UniqueScreenname wrote:No, no, you weren't...but ahammel was. I just realized he said not to put in wam, but didn't give a real reason. If anything, knowing his armor would make it more likely he'll be killed if we put him in, not less.
UniqueScreenname wrote:Also, he asked cops to claim, when the sanity of cops in the game is completely impossible to predict. There aren't many town benefits to that, as a scum result could easily be countered with, "You are probably insane." Also, immediate NK without a doctor.
Rosewinsall wrote:I agree with Ahammel going in the pit as he is saying we shouldn't even attempt to figure out wam's armor for a future fight.
Vote A: Ahammel
ahammel wrote:Neither, at this point. Just saying that, if we pit him, he'll lose. Pitting him is equivalent to a lynch in regular mafia, so we should ratchet up our vote threshhold accordingly.

How do you figure that if we pit him, he'll lose?
