It wouldn't explode, but then no one said otherwise. Water has a habit of boiling away when exposed to hard vacuum, though.
Unless stated otherwise, I do not care whether a statement, by itself, constitutes a persuasive political argument. I care whether it's true.

Seems like it. The pie wasn't even at orbital velocity! -- bleeding that off should generate WAY more heat than falling straight down.
