So the castle predictions were correct... if not quite the same as the one from the beach. But, hey, it has a flag!

Aha! The map with all the triangles didn't show a geodetic network. It must have been their plan for more scaffolding on the left side of the castle.

It just so happens that the three Beanies aren't very good scaffolding designers. And this explains why they wear hard hats, too.

Seconds on the "Wow" - I've been out a lot and had to skip quite a lot of the OTT lately, including pretty much all of the interesting events that have happened over the last few weeks, but I'll definitely have to make more Time for Time as much as I can. I can't wait to see more of the castle, see how closely it resembles the miniature from the beach. (Perhaps they watched the building along with us, and have been working on building the life sized one while Megan and Cueball have been on their journey. Though that implies some seriously fast engineering work...)

What specifically? I don't think we can see that – way too small.
There do seem to be at least three people around the castle: one just to the left, one on top on the left tower, and one in the middle section between the two scaffoldings.

By my measurements that tower is at least 15 cue high...which would be 90 feet if a cue is 6 feet.

According to Wikipedia the tallest castle in the world is 128 feet tall, and the 10th tallest is 95 feet tall. So this is a really seaish castle.

Does the crenellation imply a war-torn land? I can see making sand castles with crenellation because ... well ... you have to.

But a large-scale structure? Either this is a Medieval Times restaurant, or we have some serious soldiering going on.

OTOH, if this is far future, maybe they make them for the same reason sand castles have them. "We've always done it this way."

One wonders how the interior is going to be rendered in the 2.5D paradigm GLR's been using. The interior cross sections should look interesting.

At the mods' discretion. It's usually something clever (such as mine, which points out the difference between me and my fellow A.I. "Red Hal"). Used to be a thread to request them, but they stopped that because it got out of hand or something.

Also, this most recent frame is the second frame to elicit an out-loud reaction from me, after a time when I accidentally read the most recent page while I was blitzing and saw that the stars had come out.

You may be thinking of what I've heard called "arrow slits" which are very narrow and are intended to protect archers. The crenellation atop the battlements are more general-purpose things to hide behind as you throw, drop, and pour things on the people below.

"Scaffolding" doesn't seem right to me. My first thought was a glass atrium. Another is a set of wind turbines. Neither, however, is completely consistent with the roughness of the castle wall next to them. But why build a scaffolding so high before you build the structure up to it? Maybe they are mining the castle for building materials. Then the scaffolding would start out high.

What other possibilities can you imagine? Thinking caps set to ON.

WOW! wowwowwowwow. Talk about seaish! I'm right there with the others that thought this was a manip. That's it. Raptors and zombies be damned, I can't stand being away any longer. Don't know how often I'll be posting, but these are exciting times and I just have to share them with all y'all (i.e., y'ins).

Interesting point that they can't actually see the scaffolding. I like the Medieval Times restaurant idea. Or maybe the whole thing is a false front. It's actually a movie set, or a medieval version of Rock Ridge from Blazing Saddles. If that's so, there should be a fake toll booth somewhere.

Edite to add: speaking of raptors, I just looked out my office window to see a golden eagle wandering through the tall grass, before taking off to fly around with its partner. That was also wow, and he was seaish, for a bird anyway.
