The bull sea lion. In a highly unusual attack in 2007 in Western Australia, a sea lion leapt from the water and seriously mauled a 13-year-old girl surfing behind a speedboat. Aren't you glad you know.

I thought for a second that it might be identical to give more time to read this l o n g Rosetta speech. Seems too strange, though, that the picture hasn't updated.

ETA: I know there's a lot of us new-posters/lurkers adding to the thread now. I hope its not too much of a problem for you old-TIMErs like Mscha, Blitzgirl, Hal9000 and the like.

Has anyone noticed that in the latest frame (Geekwagon 2902), hairdo speaks several sentences which had the declarative sentence "-" ending, except for the last sentence which ends with a "." period? And that the final sentence is frame 2901 had no end mark at all (that may be because Cueball interrupted her). Is she becoming comfortable enough speaking English that she will now include English punctuation?

I had to think of Diana Ross, which is odd because she sang "Do you know where you're going to?".
Then I thought about Limp Bizkit, and finally Guns n' Roses.

But the answer probably isn't the jungle.

Acck. I keught up, thought I would take care of a few emails before I posted, and I come back and there are two more pages to read! You people are killing me! So I'm blindposting what I have so far.
Lots of good analysis. I appreciate the work people are putting in to decipher Rosetta Hairpatia's speech.

IDoes the image show OK? Do I need to do the redundant spoiler thing?

I haven't seen anyone answering your question yet: I've seen both attachments, but they don't show up when quoted (see first spoiler). To get them in the quote as a picture, the person who quotes has to copy the address of the image from your post manually and wrap it in image tags (see second spoiler). Alternatively, you can upload an attachment (like you did), click on "Preview", copy the address of the file, and add it, wrapped in image tags (so that the one who quotes does not have to do it). Since your picture would appear twice in your post then, the original attachment can be spoilered.

Thank you thank you for clearing that up! I'm sure it was explained before and I just missed it. I'll do it that way in the future.

Anyway, I wrote a little userscript that might be useful to you in the Future (and to Blitzers, of course). With some seaish posts I often lose track of who wrote it (since the username and profile info is on top of the post). This script keeps the author's profile info in the upper left corner of your screen as you scroll along the post:
Spoiler:

It (probably) works only with the default theme and it bumps badly if you have smooth scrolling, but otherwise it should work fine.

This is so cool, and so helpful! Gosh, you people are both talented and generous.

Note that I don't really know how to append them to one another to create a single Megan file and a single Cueball file, so I would keep them all in separate files. Truth be told, I think I'd also personally find it easier to listen to and assess them as separate samples anyway.

Thoughts?

I really appreciate Latent22 taking the time to set up the polling. But I do think it makes sense to have a standardized script. If you were willing to take the lead on that, I think it's a great idea.
