I admit, I'm probably gonna keep that tab open for at least a day. You know, just in case.

I don't know what to say, I dropped my luggage have an hour ago and checked with the smartphone (couldn't resist) for the next newpix... well. Hum.

The moment is as good as one or two others we passed - Remember that "bye" at the sand castles. Or the arrival in beanie-town. I would not have had expected anything but an open end, so this looks... right for me.

Maybe a zoom out / fade out for the topping would have been nice. But I'll live.

I, sincerely, hope that Randall Munroe provides us a little insight in Time as he experienced it. I'd love to see a blogpost about it.

This is hardly the end. There's no way GLR dosen't commermorate this in some way, posters, blag posts, infrequent references to the OTC. It was his Magnum Opus!

Either way, Randall, shut up and take my money! I'll buy books, posters, mugs, lifesize cardboard moveable cutouts, the 2013 official beanish-english dictionary!!

In a way, that's EXACTLY how he ended it. But instead of wondering where they'll float next, it's wondering what they'll find as they climb the next hill.

And we can imagine that, too.

I know people are upset, but if the comic has to end, this is actually a rather satisfying place to end it.

(But I'll miss the community that formed here. Mscha, thank you again for my wonderful beanie-hat.)

A *changed* world.

Our journey to that world was pretty amazing, too.

Now the recent sequence definitely seems rushed. I think perhaps he ran out of Ideas, or had some other trouble*, and needed to end time.

And I approve of his selection of Geekwagon, actually. It's a significantly better interface then Aubron (kudos to Aubron for putting it up first, though), and doesn't load a new page whenever you change frames. Also, you can set it to play on its own and it pauses at the important frames.

I'm going to post this big, so people see it.
Idea: let's all go to the Geekwagon viewer and make sure that it pauses on the correct frames (i.e. voting up dialogue frames and voting down unimportant frames that somehow got voted up).

My problem with geekwagon is the amount of Mustard. I'd prefer an option to use the corrected frames.

Oh, and the fact that LaPetite's entrance is still of disputed importance is disappointing.

I prefer mscha's viewer, frankly. It doesn't let you animate them, but it gives you more access to the actual information, and also mustarded frames. Also, it loads in under a second, whereas geekwagon takes like ten seconds before it shows anything for me.

If it hadn't been for the awesome power of the Android wallpaper I wouldn't have known until the morning. As it was, I just got back from shopping after work to see my phone report "the end".
I have such mixed emotions about this conclusion.
Even though I knew it had ended (although I'm holding out for something after the credits), when I was doing a quick ketchup over the last 10 pages, it was amazing to feel the optimism of everyone back in the past.

So when do we start the counselling sessions to help us integrate back into the heretical real world?

Its reappearance did strike me as a little odd. Personally, I had been expecting an end somewhat soon anyways, after they had gotten themselves situated in their new home (unpacked the rafts, etc.). But that doesn't make as effective an ending point as this.

Also let's try to avoid posting unnecessarily so those who aren't online right now might be able to get through all this excitement over the end. We don't want to hand them a 40 page ketchup like there used to be.
