Yeah... I was doing so well for a few weeks, but then slipped into nocturnality again a wip or so ago, but a couple of dips ago I tried doing my usual strategy of resisting the urge to molpy down in the morning, staying up all dip, then molpying down at a normal time... but ended up waking up at 4pm the next dip (it's a common problem, staying up for so long means I often need to sleep longer too) and now I'm straight back into nocturnality again... my body REALLY doesn't want me to be diurnal :(

Night Owl.
Night Owl.
The Human Night Owl.

So much fun!
If you allow your body to do anything it wants to do;
What is your sehedual like?

I did that one time.
I went to bed at 3am.
I got up at 9am.

In the winter we read, a lot.
And; Some of us wrote a book.

What do you do in The Night?
I like to wake up birds and look at that stars.

I don't like to wake up birds when I am all alone in the dark.
The stupid birds are not impressed with me.

Humans in groups are noisy.
Like Geese!

We are so noisy;
My mother cautioned against Waking the Dead.

I learned, waking the Living sucks.
Waking the Dead might be worse.

Did your mother ever say stupid shit like that?
What did your mother say, without thinking about it?

What do you say, without thinking?
What? Can't think about it?
Life is, just, an exchange of electrons; It is up to us to give it meaning.

We are all in The Gutter.
Some of us see The Gutter.
Some of us see The Stars.

Addams, your posts are always so bemusing. It's like I'm reading a slice of your brain!

I tend to have pretty normal coma schedules, as a result of various daily obligations. Sometimes on wipends I'll stay up as late as 2am, but not so much as I used to. The only time I pull all-nighters is for scheduled events like 24-longpix hackathons. Not to say that I couldn't - I'm remarkably good at staying molpied up for long periods with no chemical supplement. But I like comaing as much as any dragon (Tolkein got that part right with Smaug!) so I see no reason to molpy up for unnecessarily seaish periods.

Your words are true, addams, but I would never have thought to use the ones you do. Splendid.

Yappo, I know the feeling. The last few dips, however, I've been molpying up late but feeling the need to coma at a normal Time. Too much coma makes HES an epsilonish molpy.

Sun goes down, productivity goes up. I am like that.
Back to uni's place. Assuming last semester's schedule, coma 4am-11am.
The Night Owl will return.

Hi, everymolpy! Sorry I've been absent. I decided to celebrate #700 by finally finishing a past present present I started at least 4 mips ago.
Spoiler:
The ottification part wasn't too difficult, but then I decided I want to record it. Then I decided it was too high, then I thought I'd record it anyway, then I didn't know how, then I decided again it was too high. I finally figured, chirp it, she's supposed to be dying, so if her voice sounds a little weak, that's fine. Then it took me a while to figure out how GarageBand works. I now know a lot about GarageBand. That is, I've learned quite a few things about GB. Well, anyway, I know more about GB than I did before.

So, this is an ottification (not the first, I think) of "A Little Fall of Rain" from Les Mis.

(Hopefully the link to my audio works. Let me know if it doesn't.)

This is an alternate reality where the encounter with Lucky did not go so well. Also, Cuegan are both slightly prescient, and worship GLR. It will make the shippers happy Image then it will make them sad. :(

Spoiler:
CUEBALL
GLR, what was that monster?
Megan, have you no fear?
I could not see a thing, please
Tell me what happened here.

MEGAN
Saw that thing attack you so I hit it with my thwapping stick
It went running off that way, I think I’m going to be sick.

CUEBALL
Megan, what is wrong?
There's something wet upon your knee
Megan, you’ve been hurt.
That’s a surprising amount of blood I see.

MEGAN
Don't you fret, my dearest Cuebal
Just stay here close to me.
A little rising see
Can hardly hurt me now
You're here, that's all I need to know
And you will keep me safe
And you will keep me close
The sea will make out castle float.

CUEBALL
But you will live, Megan, Randall above,
If I could heal your wounds with Beanish salve.

MEGAN
Just hold me now, and let it be.
Shelter me, comfort me

CUEBALL
You would live 11,000 years
If I could show you how
I won't desert you now...

MEGAN
The sea can't hurt me now
This flood will wash away what's past
And you will keep me safe
And you will keep me close
I'll sleep in your embrace at last.

The flood that brought us here is Randall-blessed,
For I’ve grown close to you upon this quest.
We’ve seen the trees both neat and wow.
And now you’ll carry on somehow.

So don't you fret, my dearest Cueball
Just stay here close to me.
A little rising see
Can hardly hurt me now

That's all I need to know
And you will keep me safe
And you will keep me close

CUEBALL(in counterpoint)
Hush-a-bye, my Megan dear,
I’ll keep you close to me.
A little rising sea
Can hardly hurt you now
I'm here

I will stay with you
Till you’re a-coma

MEGAN
The sea...

CUEBALL
The sea...

MEGAN
Will make our castle...

CUEBALL
Will make our castle...float.

So, I just rescued a raptor.

Spoiler:
I don't know how it got there. I'll have to find that out, but there was a bird trapped in my heating ducts. It came to one of the vents, and possibly due to tiredness seemed to be staying close to there. I put a flashlight nearby to encourage that. Then after awhile I dug out our old cat carrier, took the door off that, and took the vent off, and pressed the carrier up close to the vent opening, with the flashlight inside, along with some bits of bread.

The first time it went into the carrier, I missed it, and it made it back into the duct, but the next time I was ready and slid a piece of cardboard down across the opening.

Then I picked up the carrier, carefully keeping the cardboard held tight, and took it out to the front yard. Once it was set down, and the cardboard removed, the raptor flew quickly away.

Treeish! Poor little ch*rpy. I live in a very old house so my bedroom has a fireplace which is nowadays rather Image, and I used to get raptors coming in down the chimney occasionally, before covering the chimney over at the top.

Ten Thousand Men.
That Rodent Ran Off with Ten Thousand Men!

Do you know how many other people are needed
to keep Ten Thousand Men, Happy?

They will never make it on their own.
Spoiler:
The imaginary people every History Book glumps all together.
I don't see our people that way. Who are the Pawns?

The Pawns represent the Men on The Field.
In the old days they needed Back Up.

There are stories of Military Units that became little villages.
They got tired of moving around.

They forgot or never knew where they were going.
GrandPa said, "Go Over There; Kick Their Asses."

Those were his last words?
"We better go."

How do You think human beings did what they did?
Were they usually lost and attempting to hold their own
in a capricious Universe?

Who knows?
That Rodent got Ten Thousand Men!
What a clean game.
Life is, just, an exchange of electrons; It is up to us to give it meaning.

We are all in The Gutter.
Some of us see The Gutter.
Some of us see The Stars.

Those that want to Know; Know.
Those that do not Know; Don't tell them.
They do terrible things to people that Tell Them.
