Yay, Mscha! And well double newpix'd, with a double Ong in the second one.

And yay, userscript! And yay, time constellation. (I seem to have put on some weight).

Yay in general!

Pope?!?! Time for another spur of the Mome decree...

Note to Blitzers: You're in for a couple of unmolpish pages. It's all done and dealt with by NP1852*, so try not to thwappstick a dead equimolp.

*Or it seemed to be. It definitely is now, though, and all is well.

Thanks for the new script, mrob! I had noticed that it broke when they filtered BANANAS.

I had a dream last nip that I had been promoted to a mod somehow, and I could see all the filters. Sadly, I can't remember any of them.

What browser are you using? I mainly use old Opera (12.16) with Violentmonkey and it stopped working for me too. The older versions worked fine. It does work in Firefox and Chrome though. This is really weird behavior, the Tampermonkey/Greasemonkey/Violentmonkey userscripts usually work on all browsers the same.

Okay, I guess I will. What's 73937 anyway? RIES says it's 6*((3*(62+1))2+2)-1 . . .

I've stopped doing the pirate thing because it's gotten so serious around here... :(

ronaldkr wrote: Wℎat happened to HES' signature? Tℎe wikia icon disappeared, aņd tℎe link to tℎe forum ẇas mangled?

This hasn't been fully answered.
The filters work on subject lines and signatures. Not sure about the Location in the profile. For example in this old post, the subject line which was originally "Re: BlitzGirl's 3000 Posts", now reads "Re: BlitzGirl's 3000 post dem".
HES's signature still hasn't been explained fully. The broken image is a link to the Wiki, and that link works. The image is an attachment, this one: Image. Oddly, both the Wiki URL and the attachment image URL contain 'xkcd', but only the image's URL is being filterchanged to "dis ting wa ahbe all talkin' about"...

ergman wrote: i can't seem to get the new bananayada to work. did they change the titles again? also, I got multiquote, but don't know how to use it, or installed it wrong.

I only know how to install scripts in Chrome with the TamperMonkey extension. (for MacOS, but hopefully that part doesn't matter). Start at my index. Each script has a link with the actual URL of the script, and a description. Visit the URL (which ends in ".user.js" and it shows the source code of the script, and a pop-up dialog asks if you want to install. Click NO to just look at the source code, or click YES to install.
Notice that some scripts, including Multi-Quote, have checkboxes that have to be turned on to get all the features. The checkboxes are at the bottom of any OTT page (but not in the compose-a-post or private message pages).

Time is no longer on your side.

No, it's not.

That's good.

Edit for blitzers: The two posts immediately above this locked and unlocked the OTT respectively. The account "anfurny" is a sockpuppet account used by the moderators. OTTers were locked out of the thread for four hours, during which they posted in the Facebook group, @otters, and in a few otherthreads. Needless to say we found this very endish and unmolpish. So the next couple of newpages might be a bit rough to read. Sorry about that. But as HES mentioned above, it settles down eventually. Wait for it.

So we're back up and running over here but the furious doodling otherthread is now locked, so I'll post what I was just about to post there before it was locked:
SecondTalon wrote:But if you be at a mud party an' everyone's covered in mud an' den you be shoved in to mud... it funny.

I sort of get what you're saying here. Since Cleveland is unaffected by the furious doodling except in quotes, it makes sense that you'd want to do something more to us so that we get a taste of it too. I appreciate that! I just don't think closing our thread sends the right message.

Your thread was closed for all of four hours, also known as approximately 4% of the duration of mod madness.

We figured you'd probably make it through somehow.
Unless stated otherwise, I do not care whether a statement, by itself, constitutes a persuasive political argument. I care whether it's true.

My initial reflex was to say "thanks" but like SBN said in the now-locked Madness thread, that's like saying "thanks" to the bully who finally lifts a foot off you after pushing you face-down in a mud puddle "for fun".

I understand how you both feel. I'm just trying to keep things positive and not build up too much animosity with the mods. Image Maybe I'm just naive, but I do believe it wasn't out of malicious intent, just poor judgement. So I'm willing to put aside any hard feelings.

May I invite refugees from other closed threads in here while they're homeless?
It's only fair since we went there when we were down.
though I'm not sure there are others who feel such a void without a particular thread.

I think that's what happened, too. But I'm still going to call them out on it.

Edit: We missed a SilentONG so I'm going to sneak it in this post for those reading the OTT chronologically.
