Thanks also to ucim and mrob. HES sums it up nice here. So that means a Beanish sentence with one English word at the end, that word would get a line or circle (the punctuation), and vice-versa (which for us English speakers would seem natural and non-weird). I don't have anything planned for this thought, just wondered. Now I wonder what English looks like with those symbols.

Rosetta's smudgy-speech had the Beanish punctuation on the end of her Unglish sentences.

The limerick was a bit lame I admit. It was supposed to be a play on that you can't tell if something is spotty if all you have is an outline, hence ... as trailing off because of lack of information, but which is then pronounced "dot dot dot" to complete the limerick form and honour the decree. Of course, if you have to explain it, it ain't funny, and I'm afraid I knew it wasn't very good when I hit submit. What I wanted to do, was something like this short silly poem, which is one of my favourites:
Little Mary donned her skates
upon the ice to frisk.
Wasn't she a silly girl
her little * ?

INSTANT MOLPYSNAKE, JUST ADD RICE

Postby mrob27 » Fri Jun 27, 2014 4:42 pm UTC

第十六章

(chapter 15)

As the bamboo ends and the woods open up again, Morobu continues east, which takes him well away from the stream while still going uphill, albeit very gradually. (Morobu is counting on a guess that the Dojo is on the south slope of the mountain, and he is incorporating Link's weather report telling him there was much warm, humid air in the direction he had been heading.)
After an uneventful morning's journey, the forest opens up into a familiar but unexpected sight: rice fields!. Morobu stops for a few minutes to take in the scene. Beautiful curved terraces follow the local contours, curving right and left a bit into the haze in the distance. The mountain cannot be seen, because of low fog and higher clouds, and because it has been painted gray, but Morobu knows it must be a bit to the left — at least that's how the terraces seem to run.
After planning his path between the flooded segments, Morobu begins to make his way through the fields. He treads carefully along embankments between terraces, making sure not to disturb the carefully-packed clay and dirt. It is late Satsuki, and the little plants have already grown 20 cm or so above the surface of the water. Little tadpole shrimp (triops longicaudatus) dart between the plants, and a tiny green frog clings to one of the thin leaves.
At the other side of the fields the forest begins again. Here there is a little stone tower, sort of like a gorintō but different. This one is made of five cubical stones, each carved with a familiar icon: from the top, Morobu recognizes Rosetta (representing enlightenment), a Beanie (receptivity), a Survey Tower (the transition between two worlds), Megan (wisdom), and Cueball (the four elements). He rests here but does not offer prayers (as the quasi-gorintō is clearly of another sect, possibly Western Paradox).
If he had looked more closely, Morobu might have noticed the little square stones on the ground behind the gorintō — two Cueballs and a Megan.

MistyCat wrote: ... My starting configuration (the board with 17 free squares) wasn't saved, but I can easily duplicate a similar position.
I ran through the steps you outlined above, but with a different result. After 7 Chirpies, I had just 10 free squares. (Just for a change I used Internet Explorer for the experiment.)

I did a few trials and got different results each time: it depends on where the Cueballs fall. So that's not too surprising.

When I move left, there will be 13 blanks awaiting a Queball or Megan.
I expect the arrival to be in the top right square.
Spoiler:

As I said...
Spoiler:

If I Snake and repeat left, I expect the same.
However if I Snake and repeat left again, it will probably be in the middle row.

This is all quite odd and I wish I could understand it... it's almost as if you have a user script that alters the Math.random() function. For example, typingT this in the address bar:

    javascript:Math.random = function() { return 0; }

will make a Cueball always appear in the topmost free spot in the left-most column that has a free spot, and this:

    javascript:Math.random = function() { return 0.999; }

will make a Megan always appear in the bottom-most cell of the rightmost column that has a free cell. Not that you'd want to do either thing for a normal game, but it shows how JavaScript can be "hacked". Typing these in other games that use randomness will have similar de-randomizing effects. And a TamperMonkey script (or generic userscript, or Chrome extension) can apply such a change every time you load or reload a webpage.

There's not much point to checking, though, because I'm sure there's nothing wrong with the actual game, for which, once again, I most sincerely thank you.

You're welcome :) and I'm glad this doesn't bother you... it must have changed your play style a bit though, what with Cueball almost always appearing in the topmost available spot. Image

Tand I really mean "type", Chrome does not allow pasting anything starting with "javascript:" — though it does allow you to type the "j" and then paste the rest.

That's pretty much what I ended up doing. I think I decided that Indiana Jones was the younger Han Solo.

When I read it, I assumed "dot dot dot", but I also changed two words to make it scan better:

There once was a molpy named Spot

       Yet to his regret

Apparently I really like Margrit's internal monologues. And first person, present tense writing.

Thanks! And I hope you realize, I wasn't complaining... just indicating my difficulty with abstract things of all types. Having read it again, I enjoy your interpretations of Margrit et al.'s thoughts.
I've been writing my bits in present tense too, which I chose by accident, but then I realized that (to me at least) it seems the story will be more vibrant if read in scattered pieces... or something.

Is it just me and a defective cache or are the last three Silentpix identical? Three times an avianraptor starting with "chink, chink" would be a bit unusual I think (to avoid words beginning on "e").

And: Happy NP 2000! The OTT sped up so much that I again could not ketchup ...

Edit: I see that the ENHANCEMENT by ggh answers my question -- seems my Opera does weird things. Panic attack over.

Beanie Kiss’d Me
Beanie kiss’d me when we met,
Jumping from the shore she sat on;
Time, you thief, who love to get
Sweets into your list, put that in!
Say I’m Outside, say I’m sad,
Say that goat and pope have miss’d me,
Say I’m growing old, but add,
Beanie kiss’d me.

Okay, I've fixed my most recent temporal anomaly. 1994 was a molpish page :)

Yay, a Revealer! Hi Sustainabilizer!

Happy Birthyip Page, The Minim! Is this Corinne's Birthyippage, too? Or is that np 2013?

It was a good match. :D And of course, due to the nature of temporal sports, we never know when the next one will be!

I'd say keep it as OTT plus the appropriate modifiers. Or ni ni chupacabra buckeyball, of course.

Ooh, I need that - a friend gave me a link for a mobile-friendly xkcd but I've never found one for What-If. (Follows link) morobu? Since you have pretty much the same phone as me would you walk me through installing this?

(The caramel sauce for the company I used to work for came in floppy tubes about 18 inches long, which we called caramel slugs. It was a lot of fun to toss one to an unsuspecting victim, especially if the slug was warm. )

The peach crop is amazing so far this year :) I just bottled my first attempt at making homemade peach soda, which instead seems to be peach... beer? Peach wine, I suppose. Two and a half gallons of dry, sparkling, peach wine, which no one else in the family likes so far, and I don't drink enough to finish a six-pack in a month. What am I gonna do with all of this? Maybe I should start with less than a half bushel next time...

Treeish ottification, BlueCrab!

The OTT's speed for the millenninewpage got up to about 3.3 posts per newpix, which is more robust than usual these dips. We haven't seen that kind of rate since the start of MayH.
...Of course, at the peak of posting, the rate of the OTT was over 70 ppn. Which is Madness.

ggh wrote:The limerick was a bit lame I admit.

Ha, cute. I'm a big fan of silly little poems like that.

To me, the OTT is both parties. I'm here, enjoying the night with friends, and most of the time I'm drunk and topless.
Really? That's very, um, nice to know, I mean, because it's so, er, educational to learn about the habits of people in foreign countries.

I hope you don't mind my asking a very, very personal question:
