I like that the Othercomic about acronyms is released right after we spent a whole newpage on BFTF.

1460 is actually two initialisms portmanteaued into one. So they both have to almost fit.

SMFW - Such Mustard Frame (doge style) and Much Fun When
WTFW - What The Filk and Time For Wombats
SMHO - Super Mario Hop and Molpy His Octocat
TBFH - True balthasar_s Frame and Bicycles From Hell
IMBD - Internet Molpy DataBase

So true, BG. He's watching us, still.

OTT meeting in Bochum

Postby sus_organizer » Mon Dec 15, 2014 2:11 pm UTC

Hi !

Here is the sus_organizer again.
For the refunding process we need the topics for the conference.
Therefore we really should determine the list of speeches.
Sustainabilizer suggest a morning and an afternoon session.
Please specify the topic of your speech. You can write a PM or email to both of us.
The introduction will be held by Sustainabilizer.
The provisional time table:

1. Sustainabilizer : introduction
2. ...
- breakfast -
3. ...
4. ...
5. ...
- lunch break -
6. BlitzGirl
7. ...
8. ...
- coffee break -
9. ...
- closing speech by Sustainabilizer -
- informal get together -

Please respond 'time'-ly

Greetings

Hi from me, too!
sus_organizer wrote:For the refunding process we need the topics for the conference.

RTA: We need them now.
It's Time to follow the 3rd commandment.
If you don't have a final title for your speech, tell us a provisional one.

These data (and probably more data sus_organizer and I will ask for (or already have asked for)) need to be processed by German authorities. They are slow. If we wait for it for too long, we cannot refund our speakers.

RTA: replying to add
rd: if you start counting from 1 and you count “…”, too

Some suggestions / inspiring thoughts:
  • AluisioASG: “Content preservation and migration out of non-cooperative hosts for phpBB-based online communities”
  • balthasar_s: “A sustainable community should have a sustainable platform.”
  • tresoldi: You want to speak about the Beanish language. Is there a way to connect the title of your speech to the overall theme of sustainable online communities?
  • yappobiscuits: “Creativity and sustainable communities”
Redundant:
RUN!
  • If you need funding to attend the conference, contact us now.
We need some details (bank connections, tax office, etc.) from you, otherwise we cannot refund you.
  • If you need more funding than the allotted EUR 500, contact us even nower
We need to do some serious extra work to make this possible, and we are only slightly ahead of the flood.
  • Independent of funding: If you want us to help you organising your travel, contact us.
(Not necessarily as now as the nows above, but don't wait for it for too long.
    These things need Time.)
We have to head the other way, across the plain, toward the mountains conference. We need to run.
  • We can only refund invited speakers, and we cannot give you any money in advance.
You must pay for everything first; we can refund you after the conference.

You have already seen a post from me.
While the post was not the speech, tha actual speech will have much from that.
I want to tell about data. about importance of a sustainable platform. about mirrors.
About what I noticed/realised while working on the mirror.
I want a view on sustainability from the other side of the mirror.

I think that this week I will finally be able to write that post I promised. Your response to it will probably also influence my seeppch's content.

BFTF
It was intended to be a filename for the images that came before the actual story-shaped-thing. Like BFTF-1.PNG I didn't tell you that the story-shaped-thing's name is bftf. I didn't tell you anything, actually. You assumed it because it's the most likely version. Especially that the filenames are bftf-xxxx.png (internally, it's done a little differently but that's unimportant). But why are they like that? Sustainabilizer suggested it as an alternative to only having dynamic URLs that doesn't require hashing. It was a good idea so I did that. But I wouldn't do that if it wasn't the correct name, right? I DO use it as the name. (even more confusing).
On my timeaccessor the RELATED directories are ott\ong, and ott\ongthemoon. On my botcastle they are /eizm/(pro|mem|log|data|tmp)/ong1 and /eizm/www/time/ongoing

At the beginning some of you had questions that I couldn't answer because of spoilers. Now I don't remember the questions.

My current plan is only to stay there shorts but if suggestions for the days before or afterwards arise I'll amend that plan.

Bochum is close to Botrop. There is an indoor skihall in Botrop. Maybe we could go there for a dip?
There is an indoor skydiving center although those are rather expensive
There are a few nature preserves and parks around where we could walk/hang around.
There are a few museums in Bochum and Gelzenkirchen where we could go to if people want to
Since it is Germany, I assume there are sufficient pubs around.

Maybe the sustainabilizers know stuff from other sources than panning and zooming in Gmaps?

s Current plan:
Day one: bike there. I'll be tired at the end and just wanting a relaxed evening with a local Weizen.
Day 2: Event. Probably a beer afterwards.
The next day: bike back kome
