According to mrob's very useful OTT Word Stats page (and including all quotes in the total), as of t** **d of Newpage 2460, 26661 newpix since Time began, there are:

And even essentially without any quotes at all, it's still roughly 5.1 million.

Apparently, there was some ado about a possibly missing newpix, or one without CuevementC. Strangely, the archives don't see any problem – still a np every shortpix, and Cueball moves every time.

Hi kenmelken!
Image Image

It is interesting that the commandment for Garden is "Relax." It implies an attitude instead of just an action, like Waiting. We've Waited in all kinds of ways here (impatiently, eagerly, frustratedly, creatively, etc.) that don't necessarily fit with the idea of relaxation.

There's a large overlap on the Wait/Relax Venn diagram, which means occupying oneself with the othercomic isn't necessarily heresy.

I will gently nudge any discussion of said comic over to the otherthread, though. *bumps hamplyball into offenders' feet*

I think we might have different definitions of the word "relaxing," taixzo. Probably the word "serene," too.

HES wrote:I will gently nudge any discussion of said comic over to the otherthread, though. *bumps hamplyball into offenders' feet*

I think my comments on Garden so far have been rather topical, like the talk of the differing commandments or the fact that Minim grew a Corinne. The majority of gardening talk should probably go on in the gardening otherthread, but there's definitely room for some OTTer discussion on the subject. I think it's probably appropriate to mention the othercomic here insofar as it meshes with the OTC or OTT worlds, just as it would be for anything else RELATED that we chat about here.

OTTification was done by Felstaff in the Otherthread:

Image

At first, I thought it was real screenshot, than I noticed the mustard next to the left light and also the filename of the image (garden-time-crossover.png). It's also an exact match of the TIme-frame #300. Since this is a late April Fool's comic, I don't consider it a heresy, that he tried to troll us. :)

That's it! People can only grow whatever is in the comics belonging to threads they've posted in.

Actually, when I first saw the comic, I thought it was a search, playing on the old joke of looking under the lamppost because the light is better... but the goodies are (click, drag) in the dark.

How serious is it? Is the Mirror broken? Really?

The mirror is not broken!

The computer which runs the mirror (
Spoiler:

) has its IP changed sometimes.
After a few minutes it notices this and sends the new address to the DNS server.
But your computer may still remember the old one for some time.
It will look for the mirror in the wrong place.
But after waiting some time the mirror will be available to you again.

I had many different problems with the computer itself. With it's internet connection, cables, dish, and so on and so on.
Because of this the mirror was sometimes away for some hours or even days.
But I brought it back every time.

And, luckily the times have changed and I'm no longer the only one in the Time thread who can make a mirror.

Speaking of which, I uploaded the newest changes in the mirror source.

Sustainabilizer wrote:Where can I buy those devices?
From me. But I don't have them. Today I got the offer from the pcb company. It's more expensive than I expected. So this may have to wait.

Congratulations, gingercat!

If I ever want to be able to finish my blitz (which I may get back to soon (BTTBAAA?)) I may have to write even less in my blitzreports and not add things to the database.
But I like writing these.
I also like reading others' blitzpost.
I really liked mrob's blitz notes file (was also useful when looking for things to vote for the OTTscars)

I have an idea for an ottification of a song. After a month I still couldn't find the correct words in English. Maybe later, wait for it.
My previous (and only so far) song ottification also needed many days before it was ready. Finding words is not easy.

Yayyyyyyy, GingerCat!

It's so so wonderful to have you in the Present, and I am so proud of you for completing your blitz. That is an amazing feet feat. Although your feet might be amazing too, for all I know. All of the raptors and zombies say welcome as well.

Speaking of which...kenmelken is back! Hi! It's so great to see you. It's been kinda lonely over at the RAZOR office. :)

Re: the OtherComic, I was going to say I didn't have anything to discuss in either thread, but now suddenly I do! Maybe I'll molpy over to that thread and see what shaking, besides the tree.

You helped Addams stay in her home, and gave her a better life. She thanks you, and so do I.

I gotta say, it's quite the adjustment curve from Blitzing to realTime! How very RELATED it is that the Garden comic is telling me to
"Relax.".

That makes sense about the Mirror's IP changing. I only have limited control over DNS caches on this particular organised sand, so it must have just been bad Timing at that particular moment. :)

It's so very nice to see you all.

If someone could please PM me with the way to join the Secret Facebug Group that would be delightful :) (I searched for various Time-related terms but nothing obvious made itself known.)
I am Schrödinger's Gingercat.

Yes, I imagine it would be quick a shock to switch to the much slower pace of the Present after having thousands of posts ahead of you. But no fear, there is still much molpishness to be had.

OTTification incoming...wait for it...

OTTification has arrived:

I don't really know how 1663 works, so I re-wrote it from scratch. It doesn't do the syncing-between-browsers thing yet, but it does save the state in localstorage, so if you refresh you won't lose everything!
BlitzGirl the Next
BlitzGirl the Fast
Knight Temporal
Bringer of the Light

Useless utilities: Newpix clock for Mac OS X, Newpix clock for Ubuntu

Sandgarden - a relaxing experience for Time Waiters

Best wishes to GnomeAnne, ColletArrow and january1may! One day you will all join me in the Present!

Facebug: Clicking on any lamp selects the newest one.
But I've managed to grow a plant now treebeanie, which didn't happen on 1663 because HTTPS.
